Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

To date this (supernatural) coach who can turn 2 star QB's into super QB's has yet to produce a single QB to succeed in the NFL. I am talking about from the time he began coaching offenses to becoming head coach, not 1 If he was so special you would of thought at least 1? he is a joke, the riddler, btw since he has been at TT he has placed 7 players in the NFL while Fulmer placed 20. Grow up people he will not last 2 years and Hamilton is not going to put his job on the line and give the keys to the kingdom to him, where so many people on here think (if you want to call it that) that he can resurrect our program and recruits will be falling over eachother to come here. It doesn't work like that in the real world. The guy simply doesn't produce NFL players and the 4 and 5 star recruits go to a school and play for a coach that is known for putting players in the NFL.

Who gives a rats about churning out pro QBs, he can get that O out of 2 stars and our staff cant get 4 stars to produce, dang right Ill take that. 7-20 in the pros? Thats expected here not TT. We already have the 4 stars in place and yes others will follow him to play in his system. Give me the Joker, Riddler, Mr Freeze, Long John Silver or whatever you want to call him. He can develope talent. :pirate: fever....catch it!

If this is about Leach, his offense has already been proven in the SEC when he was OC for Kentucky. His QB, Couch, had better numbers than Manning. It appears his system has only gotten better since then. Match him up with the top shelf burners he'd be able to recruit to TN and it would be hell on any defense. It would make Urban Cryer's offense look like glorified high school in comparison. And I just love the pirate theme that the Vol navy could run with.

This is about Bill Curry. Not Leach.

Long John Silver says "Nice Arse"...ARGGGG!!!!!

With the changes in offense, I don't think it matters if the coach played second-string fullback or even won the Heisman as a quarterback 30 years ago. Any playing experience Leach would have had would be irrelevant to his offensive scheme.

More, I don't think there's a direct link to the success of Mike Leach based on other coaches who never played. Correlation != Causation.

I'll play along, though.

Guys who never won the Heisman Trophy: Peyton Manning, Bret Favre, Eli Manning, Ben roethlisberger, Jay Cutler. Guess they'll never play as well as Eric Crouch, Jason White, or the great Chris Weinke.

I never played a down of college football either, and someday you may well see me on a college sideline. I've got a lot of years in the game still ahead of me.

Unfortunately no, Hammy made it clear he did not want a message board coach to come out and prove to be better than Dave Clawson.:)

There's only about five people on here who could attempt that without embarrassing themselves, and I personally don't feel up to the task.

When you think about it, it's hard to come up with a great NFL QB who did win the Heisman

Shiver me timbers, and I heard Tony B & Co. on radio today with VN drooled abit and commented too. The Mrs had one like that in the day. Lawd a mercy, sucks gettin old.
