No one knows hate like the former first lady.. "First time in my life" and all
Turning a FLOTUS, whether Laura Bush or Michelle Obama, into some sort of distorted hate monster means you might be too indoctrinated into your political bubble. It ain't a strong persuasive stance at the very least.
Then there's people who start to hate the non-adult kids of the current president. Those folks just need to be put in a padded room.
Stupid racist statement. It happens
We can't even agree on the "data" any longer. Our nations thinking patterns are so divergent now, I don't see how we ever see compromise in the future.I respect the strength of your conviction here, but I'm not interested in a world where we only see each other by our worst moment or mistake, whether that is determined by the left or right.
Frankly, I feel sorry for my friends in both boxes these days. I see how they struggle to run down anyone not in their corner, how much time they waste on social media virtue-signaling or stickin' it to the libs. It looks exhausting, and sad, and 9 times out of 10 both sides are wrong or there is a better solution that could be reached through compromise.
We need to get rid of the ideologies, the political spin doctors out to make themselves and their elite friends rich, and get back to data-driven decision making which strives to lift all Americans. We don't need more enemies. The world will provide plenty of those.

In a bizarre but true tragic occurrence, Laura Bush (formerly Laura Welch) was at fault in a two car accident which killed a boy in November of 1963 when she was 17 years old... and the guy driving the other car who was killed, just happened to be a former boyfriend of hers that she had recently broken up with. It's true. The guy's name was Michael Douglas (obviously, not the actor). The media was actually very civil with her by not bringing this up. On it's surface, it's too much to believe. Fox News certainly never talked about this. They did, however, bring up every Michelle Obama misstep in her 8 years as First Lady.I respect the strength of your conviction here, but I'm not interested in a world where we only see each other by our worst moment or mistake, whether that is determined by the left or right.

Is there any rhyme or reason to the lock down orders? Today, my buddies and I can go to the bowling alley, drink a few beers in an enclosed place that has central air to spread germs around, but kids can't play their little league games outside? What am I missing?
I thoroughly understand you and agree. I think your first point is correct about those fueling the strife for their own reasons. I go further and blame education for shaping minds that no longer appear to be compatible once they become divergent from one another. I think many have lost the functional ability to think and reason. Maybe that's part of the plan of those you speak about here.As long as we understand the strife is part of the plan for those who enrich themselves off shoveling coal into the outrage engines on the right and left.
We can give into our worst instincts or we can try and make inroads into understanding each other. Obviously, it ain't easy . . . and I fail at it every time I try pretty much. Lately it seems I have a 100% percent success rate at pissing off friends and family on both sides. LOL
I saw on social media that Strike and Spare was complaining about not being able to open the bowling alley. Are there some open in the state? Is there any rhyme or reason to the lock down orders? KYS is pretty wishy-washy PC most of the time. Do you think they decided that exclusively, or do you think it was influenced by City government? I wonder if that indicates a difference in how the city will be reacting versus the county, even though the Knox Co. Plan is supposed to be inclusive? I wonder if that indicates how the city plans to treat the Coliseum/Auditorium/Fairgrounds/etc moving forward? They cancelled my son's baseball league at KYS. The email had the audacity to ask if I'd like to donate my registration fee to KYS rather than receive a refund. I was like, hell no. I'm not donating money to people that operate in a manner that I am in complete disagreement with.
