Things I'm mad about today

Life is life so won't go into what has gone on in recent years.

But, Tuesday, my brother took my mom to hospital (in her 80's). Wednesday she clinically died twice. Once for over 20 minutes. Still hanging on by a thread. He was not allowed past the entry door to walk our 82 year old feeble mother to the ER. We are not allowed to visit her or set foot in hospital, even though she has legally died twice and keeps reviving. We are relegated to update calls. So, yeah I'm pissed about some things today.

I try to be as safe as I can during this virus. I'm retired so luckily I don't have a job to go to. I use clicklist and pick my groceries up at Kroger. They don't always have everything on my list so I'm not afraid to go in the Dollar General and pick up stuff when I need it. I do wear a mask and keep my 6 foot distance when in the checkout line.

Today my wife and I went in the DG to get a few things to make up a Mother's Day basket for my mother, who is in a nursing home and I haven't been able to visit her in 2 months. DG clearly has the 6 foot distance marked on the floor when you're in the checkout line. Of course this 260 pounds of pig sh*t with an IQ of 13 had to get so close behind me I thought he was going to check my prostate. No mask - and apparently no brain.

Look, I get that not everyone has the same level of concern for this virus, but when you choose not to follow recommendations that don't cause you ANY inconvenience then you are an as*hole. That's my mad rant for today.

That's funny because there are so many people that say we don't have to be told what to do. That's BS. Many many many do, maybe even more than don't.

That said, I don't think that means we just give up and accommodate them for everything. But good grief, you can't just ignore it like so many think we should.
