Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

I would think that Leach taking 4 rejects and turning them into NCAA leaders, then getting one highly recruited QB and turning him into a Heisman frontrunner who will be on an NFL roster would lead a bluechip QB to believe he'd be in good hands with Leach

So why has he never had a blue chip QB?

harrell was rated the 7th best pro style recruit in the nation and ainge was rated the 11th in 04. who was the last one we got? oh wait, where is crompton again? on the bench.

You really think Harrell would throw all over SEC defenses?

Leach's winning tradition, expressed as percentage of games won...
2007 69%
2006 62%
2005 75%
2004 67%
2003 62%
2002 64%
2001 58%
2000 54%

Outside this season, he's matched CPF's average one time while turning around TT. What a great hire, huh?

That's ugly. UT can do a lot better!

he's taken the program to heights they never expected

BTW, you left this out

2008 100%

Texas Tech (5 years before Leach)

1999 55%
1998 58%
1997 55%
1996 58%
1995 75%
60%

Leach's season average winning percentage (not counting this season--which obviously is the only reason anyone, much less a major college football program would even know he existed) is 64%.

Big turnaround... NOT!

yeah, there's no reason why he shouldn't have been recruiting like USC within a couple of years after taking over at Texas Freakin' Tech

Yeah that's exaclty what I said. He should be recruiting like USC. No need to respond. To ignoreland you go.

we'll try not to notice the fact that you left out some of Spike Dykes' years when comparing 9 Leach season to 5 Dykes seasons

everyone look away

im not sure what you really mean. the 90's produced some good teams in the sec including 3 national championships and a undefeated auburn team on suspension.

If you thing the league overall is comparable you are not very bright and not worth the time to try and explain it.

VOLinthaATL has a point

Leach's #2 ranking in no way compares to Brian Kelly's prestigious win in the PapaJohn

free pizza!!

oh okay, creative rulemaking is fun when debating

Leach has won 100% of all games when his team was leading as time expired

case closed. victory

The only victory you can claim is that your posts demonstrate your passion for losing--and that is point you've proven to all who have read them.
