Dr Li Wenliang thought the disease could be SARS and immediately began warning his peers to wear PPE. Rather than sending more experts in to investigate the situation, China accused the Dr of spreading rumors.

This is really the smoking gun. This is when China had the opportunity to stop it. This happened in December. December.

This was the beginning of the grossly irresponsible lies coming from China. I think the WHO lapped up those lies because Dr Tedros was essentially planted into the WHO by China. Dr Tedros himself has a history of lies and coverups during his time in Ethiopia. I don't think that's a coincidence.

While China and the WHO were telling the world there's no human to human transmission, they were buying up PPE. It's criminal what China did. It wasn't ignorance or incompetence.

It's also interesting that Dr Li Wenliang was a healthy 34 year old. Hardly in the at risk age group. Do you think he died of the virus? It's more likely the CCP executed him.

The MSM would rather Monday morning quarterback the president rather than look at the actual issues. No one did everything right. Look at Dr Fauci's comments as late as the end of February as an example.

For our national security, we need to bring manufacturing of essentials like medicine and PPE back to the United States, especially from China. They are our enemy. I'm not saying I want a war because that would only get a lot of our young men and women killed but we need to be more wise when it comes to China.

Look up how much food China has to import to feed their population. There is a reason Trump keeps talking about that trade deal and it's not to boast about the billions of dollars of food they are buying from us. It's a not so subtle threat for China to keep sending us medicine.

I have serious doubts about him. At first, I did pay him a good deal of attention. I'm totally not the guy to support telling people how to run their lives and do not agree in with the shutdowns and dictating peoples livelihoods, but I thought he was well informed at first. But, he swung and missed in the early alarm of the virus, down played it, changed his tune, became a fearmonger, missed on all his projections, etc. He is a very intelligent person, but for me he lost credibility. Now my perception is he hasn't been in the batting cage in a while, but still wants to be the clean up hitter. Coming back and saying Fauci warned the admin since 2017 of such an event is skewed truth. If I warn the government every year for the next 10 years when the next epidemic breaks out, I will eventually get it right too. It's almost like he had insider trading when he says he knew it was coming. All this has done is set the tone for what will happen the next time the government intercedes to literally ruin peoples lives.

I genuinely don’t understand people thinking we need to investigate the POTUS over a pandemic.

The models were much worse than what we’ve seen so far. Shutting down the country is having a much more significant impact on people’s lives than the virus itself. 30 million lost jobs, so roughly 20% of American workers?

Was it worth it? It’s looking like a resounding no from my perspective.

What details are people wanting to investigate? If you don’t like the job Trump is doing, go to the polls in November and vote him out. End of discussion.

I’m over the investigations and reports. Washington DC needs to get back to doing what they were elected to do - legislating / working for the American people. All of this investigation stuff is just campaign ad material.

Because Trump has F'ed up nearly every aspect of his administration's response to COVID-19. There is ample evidence that shows Trump ignored early warnings from intelligence and the WHO. He then lied about having the virus contained and downplayed it's seriousness until mid-late March. He complicated the medical supply market by bidding against states. He's attacked Democratic governors for their reluctance to re-open states. Trump crisis handling has been one of the worst presidential $hitshows in US history. He makes US Grant look competant by comparison. Trump's even managed to rehabilitate W's image.

There needs to be an investigation covering everything from the virus' origin, China's lies, the WHO's, the federal government all the way down to state governments responses. I just don't think it's possible to have a true non partisan inquiry, it will just turn into a political **** show.
