And where did I say anything about him still in the QB driver seat, cause that is where your question? is going. My comment was he already knows the competition at USC, nothing else. Frankly, I think you are just picking and choosing your battles, to suit you and the points you try to make.

It seems to me entering the transfer portal is conceding he’s lost his job.

QBs (players in general) lose their starting jobs often only to regain them when the starter falters via poor performance or injury or other reasons. I think the likelihood of him transferring without the one time ruling is low. He can always transfer later, next year, when that rule is likely is in place. JMO.

I don’t recall a college guy regaining his job to end up being an NFL high draft( I think this guy has that goal) Maybe there is one out there but I don’t recall one

Burrow, fields and Eason all fit the mold of leaving and then being nfl drafts

Did they not get waivers? I don't recall. My point is the free transfer rule is coming this year or next. May as well wait till that happens. I think I read where USC expects him to stay if the rule isn't adopted this spring.

You ought to be asking yourself this. Go back to the original post of mine (to simplify it for you. Hint: had nothing to do with him losing his job as QB at USC). Start from there or don’t. I’ve been on here for a little time, before I joined 11/17. One thing I’ve noticed, you’ll debate (definition loose here) a subject, just to foster your opinion as the right one, regardless, and when you sit in a dark room and question why no one agrees with you, you can blame the poor idiots that don’t quite rise to your level of all knowing.

Look I have no idea what you are trying to say.
I don’t know the specifics of him entering the portal but my assumption is it’s because he lost his job.

If that’s not true then maybe he has a reason to get a waiver for immediate eligibility.

what am I missing ??

Both would have had much better numbers with a better QB. JJ in particular made JG look MUCH better than he was.

No. They didn't throw it to themselves. If they had... they probably would have been on time and properly led.

No, he won the job and was the starter in the opener. He had over 200 yards in the 1st half of that opening game when he got hurt. Slovis came in and ended up winning PAC 12 freshman of the year.
