Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

That's cute. This is obviously the brainchild of Cuomo. lol. More fault could be placed on the Hospitals for discharging them.
FROM: New York State Department of Health

Just remember the Covid didn't kill them their underlying condition did. Am I right or am I right?
How is it the hospitals fault for discharging them? Do you not understand how SNIF transfers work?

Knoxville hospitals are opening up May 4th for surgeries and other ancillary departments. They are requiring certain preop patients to get tested for COVId first but not everyone
McRib's hospitals are similar. Except all elective surgery pts must monitor temp for 7 consecutive days. Only those showing no issue can proceed with surgery.

Again, Cuomo is defending the policy, not dismantling it, regardless of whether DOH director Zucker moved on his own or whether Cuomo knew about it. He isn't stating "wow! whose harebrained idea was this? Zuck and I are dismissing this directive, pronto!" - is he?

You obviously think it is a bad idea, why doesn't Cuomo? Explain it and we can both "lol".

What made it a bad Idea? Can a landlord kick you out of your home because you got infected with Coviv?

I’m now interested to see how things pan out as we “re-open.” For instance, Governor Cuomo is starting to reopen NY to the point of allowing elective surgeries at hospitals.

Our family usually goes to Maine for the summer from NY. But Governor Mills of Maine is still requiring a 14 day in home quarantine for people coming into the state. I not sure what science or guidelines she is following, but tourism is one of Maine’s primary economic drivers.

It’ll be interesting to see how different states respond to other states varying “regulations.”
I was supposed to travel to Maine in July. I see the 14 day quarantine is noted as applicable into August now.

There’s a lot of angst for seasonal residents and vacationers. No one really know what that recommendation is based on. I wouldn’t necessarily believe it’ll still be in effect by August unless things take a drastic turn for the worse

Absolute brilliant leadership....facilities are struggling against a pandemic...... instead of giving them support..... let’s fine them so they have even less money to take care of their residents with.

"If there's something wrong with the policy, it must be NHs not following policy!"

My post doesn't begin to touch on the reports of NHs complaining about lack of PPE, personnel, and expertise. Cuomo said if you can't find a transfer for C19 patients you can't handle, call DOH. Some have made those calls to DOH and said calls dead-ended there. Others have said PPE was insufficient; Cuomo is on record saying they're (DOH) not under obligation to equip them but at the same time officials are commenting on all the supplies they providing them.

NY/NYC was hit hardest, I get it. Without overly critiquing Cuomo, his response resume doesn't scream "DNC! - here's your guy!"

what difference does being tested make ? I don’t understand the uproar over testing until you are in the hospital and they need to know in order to put it on the forms .

Myself, I'd want to know whether I had a bad flu or C19. If C19, I don't have to further worry much about getting it, nor having to sequester myself afterwards from other at-risk persons in my circle.

By the same token, being tested for infection in the early stage seems to be the situation in which HCQ/CQ treatments (with zinc) appear to be effective, not so much when the patient is gravely ill.

We have opened for certain surgeries. Those who might have bad outcomes if they don't have them now. Still have low census and many nurses not working.
We’re doing ambulatory patients 65 and under, with an ASA of 1-2 and planned hospital stay of less than 24 hours starting technically Friday but not going into full effect till Monday.

A cloth mask is worn to help protect others in case the wearer has the virus. An N95 mask helps protect the wearer from getting the virus from others.

I get that. My wife and daughter are in Walmart right now wearing face masks.

The WHO stated first that the virus was not transmissible from person to person and then stated that masks don't work. My point is that they are not be believed because they obviously lie. The US can find a more worthy recipient of the funds given to them. Those funds are used to do China's bidding.

Has anybody answered what the number of cases would be if "the right people" were in charge?

China and Europe would not have been closed and there would be hundreds of thousands of deaths. The CDC may have figured out how to create a working test by now and maybe a thousand people would have been tested by now. That's about the success rate of the last pandemic they had to deal with.

I’m liberal but the silence from the left is deafening in this case. Some have even deleted #metoo tweets.
And yet we have the clowns in here saying "they covered it" the tone of headlines and content of the articles themselves show just how different it has been handled/covered. Kudos to you for the intellectual honesty.
