Terrible take. JG played great vs Auburn and everyone but the neverJG crowd has acknowledged his play that game. Beating Miss St, who at the time had the best RB in the conference was also a nice win and something we've struggled to do in previous years. Doesn't matter, you're a troll when it comes to JG and you'll likely be miserable when the season starts with him taking the majority of the snaps, I hope it gives you a bad case of heartburn!Win* Auburn is the only credible win regarding the west and it wasn’t even by his own performance lol
Coach Pruitt must be the jackass then because he's the one that keeps running him out there. Maybe you're really the jackass that doesn't know what you are talking about when it comes to QB evaluation. No you dullard, it isn't about stats, it's about watching his obvious talent. Gets the ball out quickly, can look off a DB, hits guys in stride, hits the back shoulder fade, gets the ball out well on the run. JG has literally never done those things and he has had four years.
This is something that anyone who knows even a little bit about football can see. You're making yourself look like a jackass.
He's not even going to be eligible most likely. I don't see him coming to UT with HB waiting in the wings. He has day 1 talent but will we have day 1 health and time to connect with playbook and teammate to be a day 1 starter? A lot of questions that will be hard to answer with so many unknowns to how season will start.
Never going to happen. They've already waived academic standards for incoming Freshmen and when the eligibility center gets back to work they are going to be covered up with all the problems Cov19 has caused. I don't think any new transfers are going to be granted waivers and that may include Cade May's as well.Yes, but they could still decide to offer a COVID-19 waiver without committing to allowing a one time transfer beyond this upcoming season and still have the vote in January.
Maybe one day there could even be a live video feed of every member of the board where they could vote to pass measures. Maybe it would be called a “conference call”.If only there was some way for them to communicate without actually being in the same room together. The future can't get here fast enough.

Lol, do you guys know how the locker room works? We're already 5-7 kids above 85 so there are a bunch of cuts that have to be made to even get to a number where we can add him. Who are you going to cut out of the QB room? It's obviously not JG because he would have transferred if he thought he wasn't going to play.Okay what CJP and staff are saying in recruiting JT Daniels is this "Look QB's on our current roster, we don't like what we see on the field. Someone needs to step up and be the man. We're impartial about who that is going to be but we're going to keep bringing in QB's until someone shows us what we want to see. That can be one of you or not. It's all up to you; because we're here to win football games and whoever can best help us do that gets to start. aright! That is all!"
He doesn't have to run him out there but I'll bet you a slick $100 that JG starts the season as our starting QB and what he does vs OK will determine if he keeps the job or not.I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Are you saying that JG can do all of those things?
Also, I don't think Pruitt keeps "running them out there" because he thinks they're good, it's because they're all he has. He didn't recruit JG. They signed HB and are heavily pursuing JTD for that reason; so they don't have to keep running those guys out there.

JG will go 10-24 for 148 yds. 1 Td and 2 INT. He will throw a few fastballs for screen passes and miss some wide open receivers. He doesn't have to run him out there but I'll bet you a slick $100 that JG starts the season as our starting QB and what he does vs OK will determine if he keeps the job or not.
That's not a good take at all. If we had lost to Mississippi State last October... it certainly would be counted as a "credible" loss. They weren't very good but they did make a bowl game.Win* Auburn is the only credible win regarding the west and it wasn’t even by his own performance lol
Yes. JG did a fantastic job of shutting down Miss. St.'s RB. And that 3 yard hitch route that Byrd took the house was one of the most beautiful throws I've ever seen. All 7 passes that Chaney and Pruitt allowed him to throw were absolute stunners. So excited to see him light it up this fall!Terrible take. And that Auburn game was a great performance by Guarantano. Maybe it was a fluke, but it still counts.
You implied that JG didn't deserve any credit for the Auburn victory and that was wrong. He played well in that game. Miss State may not have been any good... but that win still counts and like I said, they made a bowl game. They weren't the worst, or even the 2nd worst team in the SEC West last year. If you want to say that we need better QB play than Guarantano can provide that is fine. I would agree with you, but you don't get to make up your own set of facts along the way.Miss.st had no defense. That was our defense winning that game and yea sure JG was awesome that gameit was definitely a fluke with his receivers bailing him out on all of his under thrown 50/50 balls
Maybe, maybe not. The point is that if everyone thinks he's likely going to be the guy why are Vol fans throwing daggers at one of our toughest most dedicated players on the team? JGs good play is starting to show more than his bad I feel. I also think him playing through injury and making plays during the winning streak has won back the team's respect and earned the coaches trust. We'll know early if he can get it done or not, most likely by halftime of the Oklahoma game. I think we should all try supporting JG, especially if you think he's going to be the guy starting out. Fans showing they're behind him rather than crapping on him all the time might just help the confidence struggles he seems to have.JG will go 10-24 for 148 yds. 1 Td and 2 INT. He will throw a few fastballs for screen passes and miss some wide open receivers.
You make my whole argument and don't even know it. He was nearly perfect that game, converted 3rd downs when needed and a neverJG gives zero credit, what a surprise. That's fine by me because as our entire team improves so will our offensive numbers. JG may be average but he's more than capable of doing his part in team wins when everyone plays well, not just the QB. Up until after the Fl game we simply have not had many games when we played well in all phases, we did vs a good Miss St team out of the west and it ended with a win.Yes.
