always has been. other than location its a better program than Florida. Never understood how kids get swindled into that grundle? Georgia could be a dynasty. Fortunately it's led by dumbasses.
Georgia is, was and always has been a soft culture..Athens vibe is too laid back, and I think that bleeds into their football program.

Is there something going on that I may have missed. Gator fans are fighting each other about something going on up here on the hill.

I don't think the Gators will be in our heads anymore. We have to get that mental advantage back. That's the primary reason they've beaten us even when we've both been down. If we get QB play and aren't scared, we should be able to play with them and beat them this year. But, I say that every year and then the game happens so who knows. We need one of those Peyton vs. Bama games where the first pass is a touchdown and we just route them and go on to own that series the way we owned Bama under Fulmer

We need to find some way to break that stupid mental block, because that's all it is. Tennessee should not lose to Florida with anything near the frequency they have over the last 30 years.

I keep hoping we'll get a chance to go on that kind of a run over them for a while.

I mean, when you look at our history, it isn't surprising. Even during our hey day, they had Spurrier who is one of the greatest coaches ever and he had Fulmer's number. Its understandable why we struggled to beat him. When we fired Fulmer though, we hired three losers to replace him in Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch. Meanwhile, they hired Meyer. So it isn't a surprise that they beat us with Urban Meyer and Tebow and the boys. Even their last two coaches who weren't good by any stretch, were still better than ours. McElwain is currently a head coach as is Muschamp. Dooley ended up coaching receivers and Butch is still an intern.

So I absolutely agree that there is a mental block here, but they have also had better coaches than us consistently over those past 30 years. they don't have a better coach now, imo, but they do have better talent and a better QB. That's about to change and when it does, we'll see if we can overcome the mental block.

I mean, I agree. They have had the better coaches and should have a hefty winning record over us since Spurrier, but they've still backed into a few we really could've/should've won (1999, 2000, 2006, 2014-15, 2017). We've peed down our legs plenty.
