I don't think so. JJ was never going to impress at the combine and this was a WR heavy draft. Outside of the conference, people see a mediocre WR with discipline issues. We can say 'just watch him' all we want to but our opinions don't matter and no one wants to take a risk on someone they think might be a role player at best. I think JJ is an absolute steal as does everyone else that has seen him at crucial moments in games, including opposing fans, but the NFL is analyzing tape that's disconnected from those big moments.

He absolutely is a steal, just like Kamara going in the 6th round.

No you can’t. But it wasn’t that Butch didn’t take Lawrence. It was the other way around.

But Butch would have won games with Lawrence (just not a title that Lawrence won). Butch wasn’t great at development, but Lawrence is better than JG and Dormady and would have covered up Butch’s issues.

I don't think Lawrence has the abilities that Dobbs had that were able to cover for Butches lack of offensive imagination

Yep, and as of right now, the Saints have only signed 2 UDFA WRs, they usually sign several. If he shows up and shows out, I think he can make the roster.
