I’ve been following the draft grades of the guys who have been taken so far and where they rank in their position groups. For example, Darrell Taylor was the 4th highest ranked prospect based on his draft grade for the Edge position. Warrior is the 20th best Safety but his score is in the range where the picks skip guys here and there. That’s the same with Marquez. His grade has him as the 37th best WR but the score is in the range where guys get skipped over going down the list. JJ is graded as the 67th best WR so if he gets picked I’m assuming it’s because of his Dog mentality not his finesse as a WR. Bituli is graded as the 50th best LB prospect and DWA is the scored as the 29th best TE.
I think all of our guys will get a shot, eventually. I wish them all the success in the world. I’m especially proud of Taylor not for his 2nd round draft pick so much as for his post pick interview with the Seattle sports press. He and his story are truly admirable. jmo. #GoVols #WGWTFA
Just off top of my head, the Mizzou game last fall, he threw it up and the WR’s went got the ball. At Auburn last season was a similar game for him. The WV game in the first half is another example of what he does best.
What’s he’s not good at is leading a WR, but he can throw a curl in the flat, a fade in the end zone and dig across the middle. He can even hit a WR on a slant in stride.
