Ask Behr anything about anything not related to food

i got to see John Prine play with Wilco here one summer. Followed with My Morning Jacket. was awesome

Wow, nice. I have seen Wilco quite a few times.

My ex had a ridiculous backstage experience at the Newport Folk festival a few years ago. She saw Wilco, John Prine and Roger Waters and spoke to Roger.

Sent me a photo of Jim James going on stage. Sent audio of Billy Bragg and Wilco doing California Stars.

Saw him with The Strangers at a Mountain Winery (Saratoga) concert in June 2010.

He encored with Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, and John Prine for an “Okie from Muskogee” quartet, which was a bit surreal, considering. But truly wonderful. I’m always happy to see people unite, rather than divide.

Merle Haggard, with Kris Kristofferson – Live at Mountain Winery

Inexplicably I never went to a show there. I know what a great venue it is, just never made it.

It’s a huge PITA to leave afterwards. Be sure to hit the restrooms before heading to the parking lot, and then have a serious tailgate ready in the trunk to keep you entertained while awaiting your chance to snake down the mountain. You’re not going anywhere for a while. But still a lovely place to hang out for that additional hour and a half or so.

I was awfully happy for their golf carts during my post-op crippled time tho.

And then the long drive back.

Ah, yes. I-840, the longest short stretch of interstate in the US. And then you hit 580 and start all over again.

I truly think that I would still be happily living there, if it weren’t for the roads. Life is just too short for that.

yeah summer shows right now are a cluster my Dead and Co show got cancelled. total bummer
Boz Scaggs still scheduled at the Peace Center in Greenville SC for late July, but who knows. And I’m not sure that we would go at that point anyway. Concerts with a mask + filter don’t sound like fun.

I’m looking forward to seeing you younger folks (our kids’ ages, late twenties and thirties) be able to get back out and resume your lives!

— and we have killer tickets, waaaahh.
