There has to be a starting point, as scary as it is for us all. Southern states make the most sense. Even living here, I’m on the fence, rip off the band-aid, no worse than where are, hope for herd immunity, but we have to live. Otherwise, we’re not living if we aren’t fighting to.The world has got to restart..
There’s a pretty good chance Fauci is oppositionLol the feeling is mutual, buddy.
Can’t wait for your next rant calling the head coach an inbred Bammer because he wouldn’t take some pictures. But I’m sure you’ll walk it back.
Also the fact you see Fauci as opposition to Trump is about as telling as it gets.
I’m glad to be the guinea pig. Let’s do this. I’ll shake hands with anyone and, gasp!, won’t bother with hand sanitizer
I’m not going to live my life in fear of a mild fluPlease stay away from my business. We don't want you around if you're that reckless.
The President this evening said it is "too soon" for Georgia to do this and that he "seriously disagreed" with the decision. So Georgia's governor better be right, he's not going to get any cover if he's wrong.
I'm married to a teacher as well. They certainly seem to be planning for school to resume in August. I'm not sure most of rural Tennessee has the infrastructure in place to provide effective tele-education. My fear for amateur sports being cancelled extends to kid's sports as well. I do fear for our kids' sports activities, other than ones you can play at a distance (golf, tennis).
I’ll throw this out there because I can’t be the only one (and we’ll see how long it sticks!)...
I’ve always been conservative and voted in every election for which I’m eligible. What I’ve observed over these past 25-30 years is that for me personally, and the lives of me and my family, it doesn’t matter very much who controls Congress and/or who is the president. And the extremely overwhelming majority of all of them are despicable. Both sides disgust me. So, this will be the first time that I will not vote. As I mentioned, I’m pretty conservative (both fiscally and socially, but probably more so fiscally), but I’m ashamed of who I voted for in 2016 and I won’t do it again.
All that to say that it’s so stupid to bring politics into the virus debate. We aren’t going to know for quite some time who was right or wrong, and even then all the data will be slanted to the authors political leaning.
I will say that, as a resident of Georgia and having a wife and child in an “at risk” category, I think it’s incredibly dumb for Kemp to be going into Phase 1 recovery this soon. Don’t the guidelines say that you have to have a reliable 14-day trend of declining cases? We are nowhere near that...I’m not even sure we have a 7-day declining trend, since there are still cases from the past several days that haven’t been reported yet.
/rant...I hoped that would make me feel better but it didn’t.![]()

And yet, you are an engineer so not an epidemiologist. Just saying. Some epidemiologist say this is very positive but the engineer saids quotes Lee Corso.
The so-called scientists that did the California studies that has everyone convinced cases are 50x underreported got absolutely ripped over their shoddy science. You're right, I'm not an epidemiologist, but it doesn't take a particularly bright person to see the problems in their assumptions.
Please stop talking common sense and facts, you are going to make the liberals mad! They know better how to run your life than you do!I find it ridiculous that everyone is ignoring the fact that the “World Health Organization” state’s in January that there is nothing to worry about. The WHO should be held accountable for this false information, and I’m glad Trump is threatening funding to the organization.
The WHO and Media also tried to give this administration a hard time about not taking The COVID-19 testing kits from China. Which turned out to have many false positive results and everyone was going nuts over there not being enough tests, well guess what..... we are the only country who has a 15min test. To make the test it took a little time and the current administration relaxed regulations in order for this and multiple vaccines/human testing to be possible.
I also, find it funny that anyone listens to Nancy Pelosi, who stated Trump was wrong for posting a travel ban. There were no repercussions for her for suggested that the travel ban shouldn’t happen and that the President was cruel and a racist, yet if the President wouldn’t of went ahead and done the travel ban could you imagine how much flak he would have taken? Give me a break.
It will spike again no matter when you do it in the next year+...I don’t totally disagree. Just don’t think a quick restart does any good.
We’re all in favor of rescuing the economy, I just think we’ll do much more harm if this thing spikes again and we have to close down again. But maybe it won’t.
Everybody was always going to get it once it got out of China...but at least we slowed it down to a manageable level...which was and is crucial.Cats (literal) are getting it in NY now. Imagine your cat goes for a walk and brings it in after mingling with another infected cat.
Over time, everyone is going to get this
