Ask Behr anything about anything not related to food

Uncle Lou needs another location out east. Probably ain't gonna happen. I ate a Monster Burger once like the one pictured. Couldn't function for hours afterwards.......never again. Give me the Pirtle's steak sammich.

I agree but I imagine the overhead is too costly. THe current location is definitely not in the safest area.

Funny, I don't like him as a person. Obviously I don't know him, but I got turned off by him because of the whole Walden Woods/Common Threads project. I do like several tunes of his though. Kinda like Don Henley, I hate he's an atheist but he's one of my favorite singers.

Funny how time messes with my head. My favorites of the 90's were so early in the 90's I was thinking they were from the 80's. There were some good stuff put out in the early to mid 90's.

Yes, Alan Jackson.

Yea, I listened to that last night. That's what I meant about time messing with me. Martina, Travis, Patty Loveless, Kathy Mattea, Leroy Parnell, Junior Brown, Suzy Boggus, ....last night when souce asked the question, I was thinking all of those were before the 90's.

Sigh. I'm old.

Yea, I liked some of the stuff in the past 20 years just because I could relate to it or just thought it was fun to listen to (Pontoon, Better Dig Two, Homeboy, Kiss me or Not, Fast Cars & Freedom etc.) But yea, more crap than anything. And, it really ain't country.

Back when I wrote songs I use to co-write with Charlie craig a lot. Charlie was an older guy 70’s but so genuine. Any way I was suppose to write with Alan and told Charlie during one of our writing sessions and he was so happy for me he called Alan to tell him what a great writer I was and Alan was so mean to him. Yelled at him cursed him and told him to never call him again. Charlie has him on speaker phone. He was so embarrassed. I picked up my phone called my publisher and had her cancel the appt. Charlie begged me not to. But I wasn’t about to be around someone who could treat a “friend” that way. He’s an ahole. He asked why and she told him.

Why did Alan react that way?

Yea, that's the kind of stuff I heard about him and what I meant in my post above. Story back during the Walden Woods project, he didn't donate his part of the money from Common threads to the Pond like everyone else.

Like I said, I don't know him, just stuff I heard and read about back in the day. I love that album.

Travis Tritt could be responsible for the Eagles getting back together for the Hell Freezes Over Tour. Bleedat!

Vince is funny and very talented and one of my favorite songs is Pocket full of Gold, but his voice is just too "whiney" for me to listen to him for very long.
