Coronavirus (No politics)

Went to Lowes at 8:30 this morning, packed to the gills. But they were smart and limiting how many people could go into the outdoor garden area.
I drove by Lowes in Kingsport and I had never seen the parking lot that full

Can't believe the Florida governor reopened the beaches yesterday. Was this guy born stupid or does he try that hard? And to think people are actually losing their jobs for social distancing and this idiot does this...…………..

so, you can’t walk along the beach six feet apart but you can go to Lowes with less open space

Read next time before you comment. You can’t set up and sit down.

Stores are pretty manageable down here I hear. I've only been out of the house four times in the last four weeks other than to ride the bike with the kids so I'm not sure. But it sounds like groceries vary store to store. The store my wife has been going to has been very manageable and many wearing masks and staying a good distance away. As far as home improvement stores, not very full parking lots it seems.

4 cases in a town of 100k. Oh the humanity

Well, we don't know how big a deal it could have been without some measures to slow the spread. But, you keep thinking preventable deaths or long term health problems are no big deal.

Then do not allow anymore alcohol because people get killed by drunk drivers. That is another freaking preventable death. Never play football. People have died and that was preventable. I want to live and not exist. I was ok with distancing and do not care if I ever shake hands again. But kids want to play. Kids want to go to school. People want to work and live. Open **** up where it makes sense. Keep NY or Maryland or Michigan where it’s bad with needed restrictions but counties with no cases? Seriously!!!!!!!

Did the same here in East TN about 9:00, also packed, and they would not allow you to enter through the garden area: had to go through the one entrance they had open.

That’s what I thought was so stupid, have to walk inside and stand in line crowding the store to go to the outside garden shop.

Does he really want to see another Great Depression? Because that's what would happen if we closed down for another two months
I think so too...it would be the end of alot of small businesses and some struggling larger ones like Ruby Tuesday and Krystal's....but my biggest worry is for the 50% who live paycheck to paycheck. If a middle income family gets 3 months behind on their car and or mortgage payment...that's a huge hill to climb out of in a struggling economy

I agree about opening up where it makes sense.

Look at se to and you will find it

So, Cleveland (assuming all of Bradley county in the population of the ‘town’).

Threw me off because I was thinking of total cases at over 30. But yeah, active cases down to 4. Seems quite under control now and you would hope it wouldn’t be long at all before Phase 1 would be started there. It must meet the criteria of 14 days dropping active cases or close to it, no?

We shouldn’t open the country back up till July 1st we are totally rushing this and we will pay dearly for it I’m afraid.

I think the March-April shut down was necessary but considering the vast majority of the country seems to have staved off the danger of overwhelming their local healthcare system, even I think its time to start getting some places back to work in those areas.
