don’t mind me.... just trying to convince myself

Yes that one. The mitigation has greatly changed the outcome. It's pretty clear in the data.
Skeptical on that considering I’ve watched cashiers take their gloves off, touch stuff, and then put them back on multiple times.

The masks are suspect in terms of effectiveness.

And people still moving around in various stores. Yeah I suppose it’s slowed it down but this thing is going to keep spreading. Every single person will get it. Most wont even notice. It’s lame to have cost 22 million people their jobs over this so we can save the pampered generation from dying a couple years early

It's really an interesting problem. There has never been comparable situation to this. The 1918 flu is probably closest, but there was nowhere the travel and general mobility of today. Everything that we 'know' about how mitigation efforts would affect the outcome is a guess at best. Still think that unmitigated this would have been tragic. Still think that this fall may be trouble.
We can not shut down again...period. You know it, and I know it...this thing has to run it's course. We had to try, but this thing cutting loose barring shutting the world down for a year to year and a half was inevitable from the beginning.

There will be no vaccine.

That TAMU game did it for me. I was there and it was hot as all get out and a 4 hour game and Burch played for OT as our offense was rolling. I try and not be a Monday Morning QB, but that showed me he lacked situational awareness and was scared to lose.

Butch had faults, but we lost in OT with 7 turnovers. Dobbs fumbled once, and instead of falling on it, he tried to pick it up and got hit. If we have 5 turnovers, we win.

It is, just that simple. Figure out the risk you’re willing to take and go about your day.

It’s not. You are only as strong as your weakness link. When those type of people can’t work, the system doesn’t work. There are plenty of businesses or industries where “older” people have to make decisions, and the system is inefficient. Try having legal decisions made when all judges are 60+. It’s the real world. It’s not as simple as saying that older people need to stay home.

But, yes, at some point, you assess the risk and start back.

We had momentum on the road and our D was worn out and they could not stop our O. Butch was scared to lose. The fans in the stand were even worn out.

I'd forgotten how many turnovers we had in that game and still almost won. Didn't we have a ton of defensive injuries too?

We were down the entire game. The only think I can think of is not going for 2 when we tied it. But it was a miracle that we tied it by running down their RB and causing him to fumble.

Again, Butch had his issues, but 7 turnovers won’t win a game.,

My bad. That was it. Should of went for 2 yards. As bad as the TOs that would of meant to pull victory from defeat baed on the situation. Sorry but that is the way I felt it.

What really sucks is attending 56 games before I ever saw our Vols lose. And then the very first time you see them lose in person is to Steve Spurrier and Duke of all people.
All my buddies I went to games with during the winning streak used to tell me I should call up coach Majors and offer to be the team mascot since we always won when I attended. Crazy times

I was sitting right beside Duke’s band. I hate Devil with a Blue Dress
