They finally started shutting down recently. They should start seeing some relief soon.

We'll start opening up in couple of weeks. We'll likely see some incremental increase, but hopefully it doesn't start running away. If it does, we'll be back at home in a month. If not, this Fall will be critical. Unless antibody tests show widespread infection, we are still a long way from herd immunity.

You say we are a long way away from herd immunity but you have no clue. They did a RNA test on a Hospital Manager who had never ever had symptoms of COVID-19 and tested positive for the Antibodies for COVID-19.

Pretty much if you have been out and about during this thing you have probably been exposed to the virus in some sort of fashion. More people in the US probably have the Antibodies then you would think.

Pretty much and probably. That's really scientific LOL.

I remember you identify nuclear power plants by the fact that they had huge smoke stacks

Lol. Remember what you want. 😉

Edit: BTW that little back and forth was with @bignewt and he has forgiven me since. He actually schooled me up on that subject. I was appreciative of the exchange.

Apparently you missed the part where I said "unless antibody tests show widespread infection".

I’m not trying to be scientific. (I am not a scientist) I am just telling you the facts. The way this things can linger on surfaces and in the air is the reason it spread so fast. If you’ve been around any amounts of people etc. you’ve probably come in contact with it at some point.

We were at Disney from March 6-14. We did a lot of hand washing etc but would be very surprised that we didn't get it there or before. No one got sick but we went thru Atlanta and Orlando airports twice as well. Hope we do have the antibodies but no way to know.

Right. Only way to know is for the RNA tests to be widespread, and with how the media is killing the government on “testing for covid-19” RNA tests are going to be on the back burner because the media doesn’t care about that narrative of the story.

The genetic companies are working on it (RNA). My wifes company is at least.

That’s awesome. Wish the world would stop worrying about testing.... (the 15min tests are currently out and work great - my job may or may not be using them) testing for the virus isn’t the issue anymore we need to know who has already had the virus.

It is a known fact that if you have been out and about you have been exposed?

No virus labs at Oak Ridge, at least none that I have seen and I've seen about everything.
I know a little bit about history in Oak Ridge. In the not-too-distant past, they basically spared nothing in the torture of poor little white mice.

Did I say it was a “known fact” I did not the facts are that this virus lingers on surfaces and spreads through the air. So, if you have been out and about it is likely you have come in contact with it. Those are the facts.

Pretty much and probably aren’t facts. I would have a field day in a court of law if those were used.

The word “facts” is stretched by so many.

19 TN correctional facilities employees test positive for COVID-19

Tennessee Department of Correction recently tested 1145 employees at two of their facilities. 19 tested positive, which is only 1.6%. But the noteworthy part to me was that all 19 were asymptomatic.

It is absolutely more prevalent than the data suggests.

I’m there everyday. Bring it on.

Oh the hypothetical fun we would have. Although State Defense Attorneys and Prosecutors are much easier to deal with then Federal since usually if you are in a federal court room a case is already “usually” tightly sealed against you.

All were asymptomatic at the time of testing. Unless I missed it, it didn't say that they were never symptomatic.

What about this one? SECDEF: Majority of Roosevelt sailors with COVID-19 are asymptomatic

“What we’ve found of the 600 or so that have been infected, what’s disconcerting is a majority of those, 350 plus, are asymptomatic,” Esper said in an interview with the “Today Show” on Thursday. “So it has revealed a new dynamic of this virus that it can be carried by normal, healthy people who have no idea whatsoever that they are carrying it.”

More than half tested are asymptomatic.
