Wow, nurses and doctors working 20 hour shifts and in turn catching and dying from the virus, first responders exposing themselves to the virus to help the sick, hundreds of grocery store employees getting sick while making sure you've got food to eat, and sailors on the TR dying while protecting your freedom, and these guys who want to accelerate the spread of the disease so they can go to their weekend homes in upper Michigan are your heroes. Nice.
Relax Karen. My wife is a nurse and is about to be laid off precisely because your overreaction here isn’t happening

Hey Bass, New York needs nurses. They are paying 6,000 a week plus room and board as well as food. My sister in law just went there to do it. Straight up quit her job at the hospital because they weren’t going to increase their pay even though COVID patients were going to be there. Especially since she would have to quarantine every day away from her family.

While it's a joke to some places in our country, it's been very real here in NYC. I saw this post today about a nurse going up from Orlando to NYC to help:

"I have a minute, and I know a lot of you have been checking in because I’ve been quiet the past few days, so I thought I’d shoot you guys a quick update.

Today is day 10 here on my NYC rescue assignment. It’s been a long, exhausting 10 days. I’m working night shift in an ER in south Bronx.

This experience has been life changing. I’m exhausted. Covid19 is everywhere here. The whole entire hospital is considered positive and you wear ppe from the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out.

The hospital I’m in is probably around 90% staffed by agency nurses because everyone is sick. The amount of damage Covid19 has had on NYC and the healthcare system here is terrifying because I know our healthcare everywhere else isn’t prepared for this kind of hit.

Covid19 is very isolating, it’s very devastating, and here in NYC it’s very very real. It also doesn’t discriminate. I have seen it from ages 16 all the way to 100. Patients are walking into this hospital, saying goodbye to their family thinking they will see them again as soon as they’re better, and they’re leaving in the back of a semi. The fear they must feel laying there struggling to breathe, all alone, is why I’m here.

I’m here so that there’s enough staff to safely take care of these patients. I’m here so that not all of them die with no one having the time to even have a conversation with them. I’m here because NYC is part of my country and I would hope that if my hometown gets hit like this, nurses would come to our rescue too.

I’m doing okay. The consecutive days, lack of sleep, and the non stop covid is exhausting. I am beyond appreciative of everyone who continues to check in. I can’t wait for a hug."

My cousin is a nurse and just accepted a three-month position in New York. I'll be interested to hear about her experience.

My wife’s cousin is a nurse in Washington state and married to a sailor. She was at the hospital that had the first case in Washington, and she, too, just left a few days ago for NYC.

Lol Hank I'm confused, so was that Bulls team led by Pippen bad or good, because just the other day you tried to convince me the Sonics finals team that won 64 was bad? Lol don't ever stop with your takes.

dude lol. Bad in terms of teams that made it to the finals. Like the 76ers teams with iverson, that team was trash but AI played out of his mind. Same with lebrons team that got swept by spurs.

The bulls were loaded. People discount how good players like Rodman and Ron Harper were at other spots. Which is why they were still good even without one of the top players.

Luc Longley has to drag Jordan’s second class game to multiple championships. It’s criminal he never got the fame Jordan did

I'm really just picking at you about your takes but that Sonic team was not bad nor were the other contending teams they had in the Payton era. The Iverson team was awful I'll give you that. Lol at your comment about Bulls teams being loaded. Yes, Rodman was a freak defensively and Ron was a great role player. They were great because they were well coached defensively and everyone knew their role. There's a reason why there were 2 three-peats with different rosters though. A certain player with the initials MJ.

If my wife gets laid off, she’ll be there
