Take a look at this beauty I found at the gas station today. Even got 6 months same as cash financing !
Northam will probably go right along with this scenario.I know we have to be careful, but to what point?

I’d be very curious to see the rate of spread they’re using during lockdown vs no lockdown in this model.Northam will probably go right along with this scenario.I know we have to be careful, but to what point?

It sounds like they are assuming people go right back to their prelockdown actions in their models. Due to human nature, if all restrictions were lifted then a small portion of people will continue current quarantining efforts. A majority will likely social distance. The remaining will largely go back to their prelockdown life.
This also doesn’t factor in schools/universities already being closed for the year, which is a restriction that won’t be lifted.
At some point this thing is going to peak, when doesn’t really matter as long as our healthcare systems can handle the capacity. This has happened in a small handful of places, but I’m doubting it’s going to in the majority of the U.S. despite what the models are saying.
No doubt it’s the hardest part to factor in, but based on the article they aren’t factoring in any alternative behavior. If that’s the case I hope people aren’t making decisions based off this model.I think you’re hitting on the hardest part of trying to build the alternative behavior-influences models.
That's actually not so far-fetched.So now some experts are saying that our only hope to watch sports in the fall is either empty stadiums or having people carry in documentation that they have the antibodies for Covid-19 in their system due to having it already.
That's a big flag waving moment to diehard sports fans to run out and get it so they can go to sporting events. How many people - if that were the case - would intentionally get it to go watch sports live? I'm serious - the answer is probably way more than you'd think.
I can see it now - Billy Bob finds out that his buddy Cledus has Covid-19. He tells his wife he's going to go get the "rona" so he can watch his by God Crimson Tide play in September.
He tells her not to worry that he'll "exterminate" himself for 14 days once he gets home and just stay in his room so her and the 8 kids don't also get it. Roll Tide..
UVA has a whoppingly undeserved reputation. I have quite literally never met any UVA grad I thought was worth anything. All the kids that went there from my school cheated their way to decent grades.
Nope, I went to UT. I hate Virginia Tech with a burning passion, too. I've just not met in person/dealt with a UVA grad that didn't either try to rip me off or cheat to get into their position.Hey now, I’m a UVA grad and I busted my a$$ getting thru plus I’m on Volnation! We’re not all worthless! However, I would agree wholeheartedly the rep sometimes is not deserved. You must be a Hokie![]()
Microchips...no so far fetched, either. That's actually not so far-fetched.
On a related note, last weekend I was texting with my cousin who lives in NJ and works for the FDA. Figuring he might have some insight on the roll-out of antibody testing I asked him about that. He said "In about 2 weeks, but it won't be widely available for awhile" but more disturbing is what he said after that, namely that "People who test positive will be allowed to return to work..."
Unfortunately this type of thinking seems to prevail in the federal government health science and health services areas.
Terrible news for the Corona Bros..(The people who are politizing a pandemic and trying to use it to wreck the economy and "get sit on your couch" voting passed) Tennesseans are recovering from COVID and handling it very well
Tennessee COVID update
80,896 completed tests (93% negative)
6,079 total cases (44% are in Davidson and Shelby counties)
2,196 recovered 36%
3,983 active
135 deaths 2.2%
East Tennessee active cases 77
Knox County 39
Roane County 1
Loudon County 3
Anderson County 4
Blount County 6
Campbell County 3
Sevier County 1
Jefferson County 6
Grainger County 0
Cocke County 5
Hamblen County 2
Greene County 7
That's a total of only 77 active cases for the 12 Central valley counties.
UNC had very different admissions requirements for in-state vs. out of state 20-something years ago when I was looking at schools.UVA has a whoppingly undeserved reputation. I have quite literally never met any UVA grad I thought was worth anything. All the kids that went there from my school cheated their way to decent grades.
Believe me there are some anything to make Trump look bad and some burn it to the ground anarchists out there my cousin and his wife are two of them . We have 77 cases in East Tennessee and 1000s around here out of work. You don't shut down an entire country the size of the US because of regional outbreaks.. that's like India shutting everything down because Pakistan has alot of casesNo one WANTS to wreck the economy. Everything is politicized these days on both sides.
My mom is stubborn Fix News watching Trumper. I was talking to her today about things opening back up in May and even she thinks its foolish to jump back into normal too quick.
Anyone who thinks that no one wants to wreck the economy doesn’t know The Left very well.
