Buddy, you’re acting like this Pippen argument is the nail in Jordan’s coffin. Pippen joined the bulls only 3 years into MJ’s career. It’s not like Jordan was in Chicago for a decade never winning anything and then along comes Pippen to save the day. It was his 3 seasons as a pro, and he still made the playoffs. Lebron didn’t make the playoffs his first 2 seasons as a pro. He didn’t make the playoffs last year either in La. your trying to argue that Lebron does all this stuff himself and doesn’t need teammates but Jordan has Pippen! That’s preposterous. And do we need to compare the competition Jordan played against vs who Lebron played in the East? That meme is a no context, pathetic attempt at an argument
I’m just highlighting mj’s short comings like you are doing for 🐐 james. I know it wasnt all lbj, he had a lot of help. His critics love to blame him for all the team failures while denying him credit; while on the flip side, mj blind followers NEVER bring up his record before pippen, how the bulls dominated once he got pippen, phil jackson, pistons & celtics got old, & his horrible outting in dc. According to some mj lovers, he never did anything wrong on the court and never lost. Just because lbj isnt the same type of player mj was, doesnt make him weaker or less of a player. NBA players can be different than jordan and be better. It is possible you know.

Dont give me the east is trash argument (it was to a degree) and say mj’s era was sooooo much harder WHEN he started winning the east. Celtics & pistons were old and had a lot of tread burnt off their tires. Jordan came into the nba at the perfect time, he was great and the nba was becoming more popular with the technological boom.

According to some the mythical creature jordan never lost a game, made all his shots, advanced past the first round, and won titles way before pippen came along. Some of the people who grew up with jordan will never admit someone else is better than him. Lebron has better stats than him, they point to rings. Russell has more rings, they say it doesn’t count (for some odd reason). It’s a cant win. 🐐 James
While I still lean to MJ...I will say Lebron is facing much more overall competition. For reference, when Jordan entered the league, the NBA was 2% foreign players. The market of players has increased greatly since then and the league is now 25% foreign players.

The competition is so much that US white players are barely existent. The best one lately? I'd say Kevin Love and it isn't that close...yet what is he in terms of the league? Top 10? Beyond him...JJ Reddick? A top 50 player..maybe? It's pretty bare. The point is billions across the globe grew up playing in the 80s and 90s and now we have a generation of very competitive foreign players.

The league's competition today compared to the 80s or 90s is like the gap between the 80s and the 60s. The market of potential players has grown so large, you have to be better than before to even get in.

The Bulls made it to the playoffs 3 times without a winning record?
Yes, they did. I believe 16 out of 28 teams got into the playoffs back then.
'84-'85 - 38-44 (7 seed)
'85-86 - 30-52 (8 seed)
'86-'87 - 40-42 (8 seed)

I'd guess they're counting his 2 losing season with the Wizards as well and I believe they missed the playoffs both of those years.

Made over the joint file threshold I guess.
Yup, it sucks but I believe they have solely gone off 2018 returns so far. But you can still file 2019, and if you made less, you could still qualify...same for 2020 taxes. If you make less this year, you could still get the credit (or part of it) as a refund on your taxes next year.

I just think it's silly they used a single year tax return to determine your apparent income. I would think a 2-3 year average would make more sense. You could go from a great job in 2018 to now nothing or being on disability, gone blind, whatever. Or 2018 could have been a random windfall and not typical income.

Did you get it direct deposited or a paper check? I haven't gotten a refund in years because I'm 1099/contractor, so they probably don't even have my bank account info on file.
May use the account you use to pay on IRS site for your quarterly estimated taxes. I would assume. If you file as a sole prop and not PN, LLC, scorp, etc.

New iPhone SE. For those not already driving a more power phone, what do you think?

I’m trying to ride my iPhone 7 for another 2-3 years but it has some battery drain issues

I’m still rocking the 7 as well and my battery sucks. It seems since the last update the battery is on the charger more than I’m using it.

I still have the old Iphone SE but I'll probably upgrade soon. I'll probably choose between the new Iphone SE and picking up a used Iphone 8 off swappa. I'll see what the reviews say but if the new SE has better battery life than the iphone 8 I'll probably go with the SE. Otherwise I'll look for a used iphone 8 with 100% battery health to save some money.

SE beats the 8, and probably about a similar price point

True if you're buying new. Used on Swappa though Iphone 8's are under $250. So you could save about $150 going with a used one vs buying the SE new. And since the SE just came out you won't be able to find one used for a bit.

I agree the SE will be better. The camera and processor though isn't that important to me (An A11 is plenty quick) but I would pay extra if the battery life is longer.

That said, you're talking to a guy who bought his last iphone SE used for $125. So I'm pretty cheap when it comes to phones.
