Surely there's a better movie to compare it to than that. basically I think that when it occurs that humans will become nothing more than pets for our machines. That transition won't be immediate but it will happen over time.

Yep, I think we were like on our own 20 and had one play left in the half and he got sacked and got hurt. Claussen finished the game and we scored 3 whole points in the second half.

What would it take for you to abandon that idea? What if people uploaded and it wasn’t them as they know themselves? More AI or some other tech? I think of it sort of like rectangular approximation trying to find the area under a curve. You can let the number of rectangles go to infinity to get very close to what something is, but it would never be the actual thing.

Imagine getting swept twice in the first round and then when you retire your team only wins one less game, goes 55-27 and wins a playoffs series without you.

Imagine thinking MJ is better than Jordan and Brady is better than Manning. Virtually the same careers.

It doesn't have to be an exact duplication. It will be the machines decision as to what is good enough.
