Your point about the loans is at least a valid policy disagreement.

I’ll happily endorse the argument that the government should just get out of the lending industry altogether, but in terms of an economic stimulus, essentially forgiving the profits they make on these loans is not a perfect solution, but you’re still not telling me how it is any more or less effective than handing out checks to everybody including those who weren’t working before and those who are still working now.
