Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Probably so but I can't help but wonder how many deaths were classified as covid but could have potentially been other things.
I’m sure there’s a percentage of respiratory deaths that may have been confused. I can’t believe that a death by heart attack or drug overdose is being categorized as a Covid death.

That whole thing stinks . Somethings not right when the CDC says “meh just list it as Covid if you think they had it “. What’s the incentive here ? I smell a rat .

"I'm so tired of all the Jews on the city council. Hey, I'm not being racist, I'm just telling you all those people on the city council I don't like trace their ancestry to the Middle East. Just a fact man. What's wrong with pointing out an objective fact?"

Sounds plausible, right?

Well actually .. Jews are not a race so no it’s not racist . I know I know , all these isms get confusing.

The controversy over churches this weekend is interesting:

-- Kentucky is going to monitor churches and police will make lists of people by license plate who attend, requiring them to then quarantine for 14 days;

-- In Florida some localities required that churches be closed to live gatherings. The Governor used a statewide proclamation for stay at home to allow it, causing a lot of problems and tension between the Republican Governor and Dem local officials.

Just a couple of examples.

I have to say, as a member of a Presbyterian church that just live streamed a service last night and did it well, I am very suspicious of churches that want to stay open for in person services. It has a definite feel of the larger, Republican-associated mega churches that specialize in making lots of money using their political influence to keep the cash machine in operation.
Do you think the ACLU will be representing the churches in the separation of Church and state argument?

Without a positive test it’ll be listed as positive COVID. That’ll help them draw statistics later when modeling. It’s better than not listing it at all.

As for what gets counted in current statistics, a positive CV test is generally needed. Some locations may be doing that differently but for the CDC deaths I thought that was the case.

Wow, this thing is brutal in the UK (over 10% mortality in confirmed cases). Or are they as bad with testing as we were?
