Mine wasn't a joke. Saw someone from one vehicle shoot at another vehicle early one morning on I-40 last December...

Yeah, I know the entire state thumbs its nose at Memphis....

Most of the interstate shootings in Memphis are gang activity and not road rage.

On the bright side, you have all those cops stationed on I-40 now as a deterrant to the interstate shootings. As long as you arent shooting at anyone, you can fly by them going 80 without a threat of a speeding ticket. Knocked 10 mins off my commute...

There is no “Nashville.” It’s as different from one side to the next as you can get. PTs comments are just absurd. You will have snobbery in every state. Especially from the most metro area. Those same richies can’t wait to unload a $1,000 a night in Walland. LOL. You look at all the people settling in East Tennessee from Northern metro areas and it should tell you all you need to know.

Many in Memphis, including some transplanted East Tennesseans, view the residents of East Tennessee as inbred Hillbillies.

I generally believe you find what you're looking for when you travel to other areas. If you think people are rude, or lazy, or hillbilly, then you will remember those who fit your expectations and mentally discard the others. Tennessee runs the gamut of intelligence, ambition, ethics, morality, etc. There are far more good people here than bad.

Except for Chattanoogans. The only thing good to come out of Chattanooga is I 24.
