Listen to your financial advisor and be patient. I was fortunate enough to retire at 62 and I haven't looked back. You'll take a 25% hit on your social security benefit but I didn't let that bother me. I've been retired for 10 years and have played at least 2500 rounds of golf since retirement. It can be done---just don't panic like so many do.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement in my own life goals, if the good Lord wills.

My freedom to peaceably assemble to worship (or to assemble for any other valid reason), my freedom to earn a living, my freedom to travel without fear of being stopped by armed officers are all affected. When you sacrifice freedom for promises of security, you will have neither.
This will be a great lesson for my students. They don't believe they are infringing on their classmates rights when they act up during class. I will definitely use this as an example about rights bring stepped on. "When they disrupt the class they are taking away their classmates right to learn. Just like when people couldn't stay 6ft away, they took away your right to go out and do stuff."

According to one study 40% of those hospitalized were under 55. What do we do with all those patients seeking medical care?

And now to put that into perspective. Roughly 70% of the population is under 55, yet they make up only 40% of those hospitalized, according to the article. The other 30% of population accounts for 60% of those in the hospital, again according to the article.

I’m not sure they will even run him. Think they’re going to ask him to step down at the convention and they’ll get someone like cuomo to run
If that's the case, why bother with having a primary in every state? He's the only one left standing so he'll be their guy.

We'll see how this all plays out, but many, myself included, have been saying from the git go that this has been greatly overblown. Not to be ignored, but overblown. Of course we've been mock and criticized for doing so.

My only question is why has it been so. Honest misreading of the data? Being overly cautious? Something political? Idk, but have my suspicions.

If the final numbers turn out to be more in line with the new, lower numbers it's a good news, bad news thing. Good that the impact wasn't so bad. But bad that, as some argued, we needlessly tanked our economy and caused emotional stress on a ton of people.

How the crap could I know that? The point is, when they’re writing heart attack deaths as covid deaths as just one example, how do we know how many have died? But if we know that they are being very liberal with the mortality numbers, and thus far we’ve had 12k recorded deaths, then it is safe to assume that the actual deaths are much lower than that. And, if many more people have this thing than we know, and they do, as they continue to say many people are asymptomatic or have mild cases, then the death rate is even lower than they’re currently saying.
You're implying that the death rate is lower than is being published. I was just trying to see if you knew. I want people back to work as much as everyone, but I think we can all ride it out a little longer. Easy for me to say. I am working, so take that with a grade of slaw.

You're minimizing the impact. Try harder.

That’s just what rumors are right now. I suppose because the DNC figured he would carry the black vote in the south and prevent Bernie from winning the nom. Joe is barely hanging on though and I don’t think he can run a national campaign. Especially not against trump

No it’ll just be good news/ good news. It’ll mean that we took it seriously and listened to medical professionals and kept our distance, this helping tamp the spread of the virus and preventing deaths that would have occurred otherwise.

Figured it was about as accurate as any other number being thrown out these days. Bottom line..."stay at home" sucks and I don't like it! I may end up killing my wife and kids over it.

If however, a couple of more weeks of it helps...I'll stay at home.

Doesn't mean i want to hear or read about it every day though. Especially on here. I personally would rather have one of our idiotic talks about whatever idiotic subject we come up with on any particular day.

Yes, now run the numbers against that entire population and compare it to the number of hospital beds in the U.S.

See which one runs out first.
