Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Do you think these doctors were in the dark about this until IMPOTUS mentioned it? You think Donny is more up on French medical research than American doctors? Get real. All he's done is increase demand for it in the general population. The doctors were using it before he touted it if they thought it may work. Now, they're faced with a bunch of patients telling them what the doctors should give them because Donny says they should take it. That's not a situation you wanna be in as a doctor.
How would you know fake lawyer? Do you play an evildoctor on another website?

Did it ever occur to you that the numbers wont come close to what was predicted because people started taking it serious and stayed at home and practicing social distancing?

100K was "best case" based on social distancing.

Fauci says US could see millions of coronavirus cases and 100,000 or more deaths - CNNPolitics

"Whenever the models come in, they give a worst-case scenario and a best-case scenario. Generally, the reality is somewhere in the middle. I've never seen a model of the diseases that I've dealt with where the worst case actually came out. They always overshoot," Dr. Anthony Fauci, a key member of the White House's coronavirus task force, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."
"I mean, looking at what we're seeing now, you know, I would say between 100 and 200,000 (deaths). But I don't want to be held to that," he said, adding that the US is going to have "millions of cases."

And...oh, by the way, that article was from 30 March, and even CNN is going back and doing some walking back on the fear peddling:

CLARIFICATION: The headline and this story have been updated to better convey that Dr. Anthony Fauci was offering a possible estimate based on his interpretation of the coronavirus models.

We aren't even going to sniff those numbers. The press was and is peddling fear for clicks and ratings and should be ashamed of themselves.

I think you are right lone ranger.
Most nurses are brainwashed to believe they are necessary and every facility that accepts Medicaid has to have a 90% vaccination rate of employees to be eligible to receive full reimbursement checkmarks.... Thank you ACA and Obama admin docs.
Im more convinced now than ever that vaccines are dangerous and we in the medical field are causing more damage than good by giving them... It's an insidious damage.

Are you a nurse and an anti vaxxer??

That is a very interesting stance coming from a nurse. I think you are correct in saying that most in your profession would probably buy in to the vaccination story.

I'm still pissed that I got that polio vaccination in the early 60's. I also enjoyed the measles and mumps when I was a kid too!

No I didnt.
Go back and check.

You can just click the arrow beside the name of the reply to go back and see. I went back to my first post on the matter.

As far as I know it's only if you get quarantined that work finds put. Which is why my doctor avoided that phrase when I talked to them about my symptoms. But that's an SOP thing not a Covid special as I understand it.
Sorry about that. You responded to my response to Dancingoutlaw.
We deviated so far from the original point of the conversation I got confused.

Of course not. It was obvious Trump didn't google "malaria drugs" on his way to presser and decided, hey lets try this as some have tried to frame it.

There were and are plenty of Drs that have independently given statements on the drug over the last few weeks, here and abroad. So its not like he's the only outlet for information on what Drs are and are not trying. Will Drs get questioned on what they are going to do as treatment? Absolutely, that happens everyday and will continue after this pandemic is over.

The rest is meaningless political racket.

This is 100000% true

You know what, you bring up another interesting point.

How can someone in the general public get their hands on this and be able to drive up demand for it?

Is this a prescribed medication?

Do you think drug advertising works solely because it reaches and affects doctors? Don't be naive. The whole purpose of that advertising is so people will --and I quote the advertising -- "ask their doctor if medication x is right for them."

Also they were all in on collapsing the economy because they felt that’s the best way to get rid of Trump

I would be interested to know your answer. I'm sure you would lean towards anything that is "for the greater good".

I say we send them to the American Gulags in Upper Michigan.
I don't really know. My wife, daughter, and I discussed it this morning after seeing the article in the AJC.
The best we could come up with was if someone just flat out refuses to self-quarantine, then they should be held in some facility (school, hotel, etc...) designated for such people.

Ok, so they ask their doctor for it.
Then what happens? Does the doctor then have to prescribe it?

Uh, WebMD and a pharmaceutical commercials are still a thing right? Far more exposure there than one press briefing.

I heard some horror stories about the first trial runs of the polio vaccine...
There's a good documentary that PBS put out about the polio epidemic, you should watch it. It underscores the horror of a disease without a cure or a vaccine, especially when it attacks young people.

How about this angle?
