We should do what we should do for lots of things. If they commit a crime against someone we should punish them. And there are civil remedies as well. But precrime punishment because maybe they could get someone sick if they got in their car is a little much. The guy in KY who got surrounded by deputies was entirely too much. That could have ended in him being shot and the cops and a lot of other people would be ok with that because “safety”. The number of babies being thrown out with the bath water in this whole thing is alarming. Is that legal? I'm not sure how stout that limb is.
But we are straying from the original debate.
What should be done to someone who has tested positive, told to self quarantine, but refuses?
Oh no, what will adult doctors do when their non doctor patients ask for something they don’t want to prescribe? And they have the ability to give it if they wanna do it. The one who needs to STFU is the POTUS because he's going to have people demanding it now even if their doctors don't want to give it to them.
I don't get the relevance. That's the reason for precision in my reply to your other text. Some test positive but show no indicators of infection. As such, you could work beside someone who isn't "infected". Also, others can test positive with very mild symptoms...like allergies (since it is that time of year) for instance. That person could be infected and simply assume it is something else and unwittingly expose others.
I've heard so many stories from both ends of the spectrum. Maybe the vaccine effects people differently. I would think there is data out there somewhere: percent of people vaccinated who get the flu vs. percent of people not vaccinated who get the flu.
But that would still not address the possibility that different people have different reactions.
I want to meet these people who instead of taking two weeks free pay to stay at home are hell bent on going to work and earning it.I don't get the relevance.
A person who tests positive but shows no symptoms can still transmit the disease.
Again, I want no one who has tested positive to be in my work environment until they have gone through the appropriate period of quarantine.
Common sense says listen to your doctor over the POTUS. I just hope a doctor's reasoning isn't based on proving Trump wrong. And they have the ability to give it if they wanna do it. The one who needs to STFU is the POTUS because he's going to have people demanding it now even if their doctors don't want to give it to them.

I'm sure every boss has made the decision that anyone who has tested positive should stay away, because it only makes since and is in the greater interest.Or, his bosses could make the decision since they own (or represent the owners) of the company.
Murica' is full of them.

Now how about Kroger? Would they be within their right to say that anyone who has tested positive can not enter their store until they have gone through the appropriate period of quarantine?
Does he need to reprimand those already using it? Better yet, those using it before Trump could even pronounce it?Has Fauci said it's no good? I don't think so. His concern was that it has not yet been established to be effective in a clinical trial. What he doesn't want to have happen is to have the independent medical judgment of doctors overridden by a bunch of quacks in the administration.
Septic just being Septic. The ingredient was actually Chloroquine phosphate, a chemical compound that was among other ingredients in the fish tank cleaner. Also a chemical compound that no one ever suggested was a cure or treatment...ever.
It's amazing how this "words matter" mantra, only matters until it doesn't.
