Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I was commenting on the homeless because they would probably not be able to afford to get their fix at a restaurant. The non homeless alcoholics will just drink the wine and beer from the grocery store. And wine and beer is more expensive, and you have to drink a lot more of it, then a ton of the gut rot liquor store sell.
True.

So the guy who tests positive can go to work, but his co-workers would need to self-quarantine to avoid him?
There is something a little backwards in your logic.
Or, his bosses could make the decision since they own (or represent the owners) of the company.

As bright as she sounds, I'm shocked they stayed in the Gene pool as long as they did.
I could see how someone would get confused based on the name. Not smart, but understandable. Brittons burning down cell towers is mystifying. I guess it is true, farcical aquatic ceremonies where strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

The one year my wife did not take it she got the flu. I've taken it every year since it's been available and have not had the flu .
I've heard so many stories from both ends of the spectrum. Maybe the vaccine effects people differently. I would think there is data out there somewhere: percent of people vaccinated who get the flu vs. percent of people not vaccinated who get the flu.
But that would still not address the possibility that different people have different reactions.

But...but.....Dr. F ....he say no good for Wuhan.

Has Fauci said it's no good? I don't think so. His concern was that it has not yet been established to be effective in a clinical trial. What he doesn't want to have happen is to have the independent medical judgment of doctors overridden by a bunch of quacks in the administration.

I’m going to go out on a pretty stout limb and say they notify your employer you tested positive.
Is that legal? I'm not sure how stout that limb is.
But we are straying from the original debate.
What should be done to someone who has tested positive, told to self quarantine, but refuses?

If it was your loved one lying there dying you would want to wait for the double blind trial?

You are not answering the criticism.

It is one thing to say that a physician in an act of life-saving, nothing-to-lose moment, tries the drug on a paitent. It is also one thing to say that, otherwise, for healthy people or people with mild cases, we are studying the drug and its effects and doing cost benefit analysis as we do with all drugs.

It is quite another to say in advance of any actual valid science that it works, or even just is likely to work, and that in the meantime maybe people should take it in advance as a preventative measure.

Or or matters what you do and who you’re around. A school teacher or nurse with kids are more likely to be exposed. A lineman or telecommuter will probably never encounter it. I’ve had it one time and no vaccines from 18-30. We have kids so I get them now but I’m under no illusions regarding efficacy.

What he needs to do is stfu and let people in the medical trenches do their jobs.

NY death count roughly the same as yesterday (up by just 5). Peak was Saturday's count. So maybe the crest has been reached.
