Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

When we are on the other side, I think the legitimate criticisms of Trump will be:

1) Irrational minimization which caused people, his supporters in particular, to ignore warnings for a time, which contributed to spread of the virus.

2) Frequently invoking partisan concerns as a basis to act, or not act.

3) Frequently invoking a need to compliment him and thank him as a basis to act, or not act.

4) Frequently promoting inaccurate science.

5) Failure to invoke the DPA in more comprehensive fashion.

6) Failure to push for broader based testing, earlier. See #1 above.
It’s not over yet but the hardest hit areas would not be deemed “Trump supporters”
It’ll be interesting how the house seats change as a result of the virus

Well, there is a possibility that the virus is slowed down by having to stop and look at the dna of folks in bama and it’s going wtf is this inbred crap and how do I get in🤷‍♀️
The new state motto, inbreeding, it may lead to webbed feet and occasional extra toe or finger, not to mention bad teeth and an IQ of 70, but it'll protect you from that Mexican beer virus, by God.

Since the organization making the prediction is sponsored by Bill and Melinda Gates what program would you expect?
SAS... Matlab... Any software out there that is specifically designed for actual professional data analysis. Not software that is made for small business accountants lol.

I used to be an Excel wizard.. And maybe my skills have slipped.. But I don't trust any large scale epidemiology model that was strung together with VBA macros lol.

That'd be a start. But if she broke insider trading laws, she should face the legal consequences as well.
I don't disagree, but my thought, with all that's currently going on, if she falls on her sword she could potentially get off easier than if she drags it out. Not saying she deserves it, but there are more pressing matters to attend to. The longer she drags it out, the more time outrage has to build. And this goes for any member of Congress that took advantage of insider info, be they Republican or Democrat.

Well this is certainly worst than the flu, but nothing close to something like the spanish flu.

For perspective, the spanish flu killed about 1 out of every 36 humans on earth. Or about 3 per 100.

Wuhan Flu, in the worst place currently on earth is at 226 deaths per million. Or .02 per 100.

It's the same logic, regardless (which I suppose would be more transparent in Excel). I guess if someone wanted to pretty it up they could use Access.

Is anyone really taking this IHME model seriously? It says Tennessee should already be over 3-4k hospitalized and we’re around 300. The dramatic spike in deaths reminds of forecasting when someone says they’re going to spend $1M this year and it’s November and they’ve spent $500 but don’t lower it cause I’m definitely going to do it. You would need an unbelievable explosion in cases very soon to even touch these numbers and I don’t see how this is possible.

True, but we've had a hundred years of scientific advancement since the Spanish Flu.

I still want to know what deaths are those WITH covid-19 and which deaths are those BECAUSE covid-19.

The context that is lost in all this is better/more testing is identifying more positive cases, and deaths that will happen anyway are being counted under the covid-19 umbrella. Simply put, more testing results in more covid-19 deaths, not necessarily because it means covid-19 is that much more deadly.

Im still in the camp, even now while sitting at home under government orders, that we are going to look back in 6 months and give a collective “WTF were we thinking”.
I heard a guy Friday who said his friend had terminal cancer, wasn’t far from dying then caught the virus and died well they listed his cause of death as CV-19.

The ones who are so locked in on shutting the country down will say “see our choice to shut the country down was the right decision” and all the idiot politicians will slap themselves on the backs

For most of the country they have to use these outrages projections and not the real numbers to keep the people living in fear so they can keep us on lock down

Ok, Justin, I think you found your calling... but you might wanna get on it, if you are going to expose the big CV-19 cause of death conspiracy.

Specifically when was it hindered by Trump and how? If you can't articulate that, you're simply spewing to release pressure.
I provided at least 3 links yesterday.
You might wish to try releasing a little pressure yourself. Have a beer, get outside ,do a little work, and play some games with your family; that' what works for me.
The build up of pressure from daily defending the indefensible is obviously reaching its max.
