They don't want to crown Drew in this scenario. His countdown to the Claymore deserves people chanting with him.
Styles can't be losing to Taker at this point. Ideally, Styles kills this ~other~ Taker and brings back the Deadman for one last ride, ending at Survivor Series.
Tamina has never held a women's championship in WWE. Here's a chance for them to do it with no fan backlash. Then she can drop it soon after.
They don't have faith in Sami to hold it. I think he should be able to, but I don't trust WWE.
Corbin faces someone else. That person squashes him.
Otis gets the payoff, perhaps with the help of the hacker.
Liv Morgan needs a win for any direction. Nattie doesn't need any rub from this kind of pre-show match.

I think piped in crowd noise would add a lot to the effect as well
