Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

No, the comment doesn't change anything.

It's just classless and so far beneath the office it is hard to quantify just how mismatched he is to this position.

The Presidency means something. It requires poise. A calm and reasoned demeanor. That's what build confidence in the citizens, not him bragging and using superlatives so often they lose all value.

:sigh:

Where was this outrage when we had Clinton banging Monica in the WH?

Hobby Lobby claims to have all the materials to manufacture masks (true) as well as small business supplies (true) but a judge in Dallas issued an order to close. Wonder what that judge’s leanings are?

His answer seemed perfectly coherent to me, and he said just the opposite. The ME rules cause of death, but for public health, they are reporting all deaths of people who tested positive.

Attributing any deaths of someone confirmed with Covid19 to the total death count for the virus doesn't seem like an egregious assumption to me. Medical examiners are not infectious disease experts and vice versa. It seems plausible the virus could cause someone to die any number of ways when you consider pre existing conditions.

I think it's a mistake to take something that is meant to err on the side of caution and expedite data collection and say it is fear mongering and lying.
Yeah but Im sure you read the headlines "No One Is Safe!" Turns out that is probably not even cause of death...same with the "first" teen to die from coronavirus in California

So glad we don't have a leader that has made it his life's work to make bad decisions.
You gonna vote for Biden right? He’s much worse, he doesn’t know where he is half the time. He stumbles and stutters and can’t decide what to say. Sometimes he just gives up saying what he wants.
He’s the best you guys got? LMAO

I'm thinking about using a kitchen towel to wear out like a bandana.....this is getting to really suck now.

I don't want to hide my pretty face from the pretty girls.
The covering won’t help you from getting it. It’s being recommend to stop spreading from those who don’t know they have it. With that said I would cut up a pillow case. I have some construction masks that are equal to N95 masks. I have one for me, my fiancé, and the kid. We are not wearing them out yet.

Coronavirus: Did Trump's decision to nix pandemic team hinder response
In May 2018, President Donald Trump’s biodefense preparedness adviser warned that a flu pandemic was the country’s No. 1 health security threat, and the U.S. was not prepared.

“We know that it cannot be stopped at the border,” Luciana Borio, director of medical and biodefense preparedness at the National Security Council, said at a symposium that day.

Borio left the Trump administration in 2019. Other high-level global health experts headed for the exits even earlier, after the White House dismantled the National Security Council’s global health security office.

"Bolton’s chosen approach to NSC 'streamlining' involved decapitating and diluting the White House’s focus on pandemic threats," Jeremy Konyndyk, a senior policy fellow at the Center for Global Development, wrote in a rebuttal. "He eliminated the senior director position entirely, closed the biodefense directorate, and spread the remaining staff across other parts of the NSC."

Closing the pandemic office "clearly reflected the White House’s misplaced priorities and has proven to be a gross misjudgment," Konyndyk wrote.

Borio left; so? Can we chain him into place? Next man or woman up. Biodefense was fully funded and intact, and three directorates now working together under one roof instead of three territorially distinct silos. You know, the same territorial silos that gave us the gross intel breakdowns resulting in 9/11.

Every sitting president and governor are warned of virulent pandemics, Luth - period. It's called the ANNUAL "Worldwide Threat Assessment" issued by U.S. intel every single year since 2006 and I'm sure it had an antecedent. It's the same theme. Every. Single. Year.

The argument is like Clinton holding up a newspaper "Bush Knew!" after 9/11 implying Bush somehow should have prevented the incident, that he either knowingly or ignorantly let it occur. That argument fails for the same reason yours does: what, when, where, and how.
Actionable intelligence
instead of "some bad shite could occur, somewhere, sometime."

When you and the "experts" have answers to those questions and bring them to the table of a sitting president, THEN you can trumpet "Sonofabitch knew!" - aight?

He's toast as a viable candidate.
Anyone the Dems nominate is viable. Trump won bc he won a few key states by a thin margin. Those states, prior to this crap, were still struggling if not worse off. His re-election will be all about his handling of this. Fair or unfair. And that would be true of any President in these times.

If we put up a ham sandwich, that'd be a better option than Trump.

Did Trump Administration Fire the US Pandemic Response Team?
True
It’s thus true that the Trump administration axed the executive branch team responsible for coordinating a response to a pandemic and did not replace it, eliminating Ziemer’s position and reassigning others, although Bolton was the executive at the top of the National Security Council chain of command at the time.

One more time slowly; three bloated directorate silos were brought under one roof, so everyone is seeing and sharing the same secret sauce, and biodefense - the pandemic unit - was kept intact and fully funded in this unified directorate.

9/11 was the result of little fiefdom silos where intel agencies weren't talking to each other.

If they had a coherent candidate that didn't get confused and combative when challenged I might agree. Biden is just short of bat shart crazy at his worst these days.
