Unless they shut down grocery stores and or put some extreme measures out and enforce them on how they operate that will not be the place to go over the next 2 weeks.

we are adapting, people are taking things more seriously. we still need supplies that will help us be responsible. I'm just hoping we start seeing these things available.

I suppose. But it's spreading daily in the places where people have a false sense of security, and people are carrying on as if little is different. Hearing this message from Trump would make a big difference and give some cover to skittish governors.

Trump and his team have put the message out but short of federalizing the NG there isn't anything he can do to force a governor's hand. Not to mention you can't quarantine a county our size and I don't see how it would be constitutional.

I just don’t get why people want Trump and the feds to take over . I watch and listen everyday about how horrible , terrible and inept this admin is then watch as they want more and more of it in their lives . Keep the feds from issuing martial law as long as possible , because that’s the next step for them . Bunch of Goobers

You're not going to see these supplies with people locked down in their houses.

They aren't available at stores, which is where they would normally be obtained, and would be the logical place to get them. "Essential" people who need these things, right now, who ultimately will help make them available, have a hard time obtaining them.

I distinctly remember some of our posters saying Trump wants to be a dictator and called him a fascist. Now they want him to suspend all of their civil liberties.

If that were the case (on the whole) we wouldn't be talking about state or federal orders being a necessity.

I had this conversation several days ago when there were rumors of a Fed order (or state). The question I asked the person was "whats the first thing you do when that becomes reality?"
Their response. "Go to the store!" It sounds like the prudent thing to do. Stock up and hope you don't need to go back for days. The problem is a lot of people think that way. It doesn't take much intelligence to figure out what happens next. Heck, before TN actually made it law people were packing stores and buying up.

How is stating the obvious being a dictator? Can you not see a difference in leadership and being a dictator?

Seems like these “recommendations” are pretty much what people are clamoring for either the President or governors to state in form of an edict.

Unfortunately, Americans can’t be told what to do, and recommendations don’t apply because “it’s not that bad here.”
