Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

US at 968 down from 1049. Could be wrong though, have not seen a second data dump from NY today. They will probably post 2 minutes after I write this.

NY dropped from 505 to 319.

This is clearly false. Your partisanship is clouding your judgement. There is ample proof that Trump contradicted the CDC on numerous occasions.

No, it quite accurate. He enacted a travel ban and inbound quarantine in Jan and declared a national public health emergency on Jan 31, one day after WHO declared a PHEIC on Jan 30. Health "experts", including WHO, and Democrats called the ban everything from overreaction to racism; CDC and NIH told him we should do it. Then he extended the travel ban to encompass the Schengen Area - the 'European ban; - then the UK, which our U.S. C19 experts also advised. Gee, guess what? Other countries began their own travel restrictions.

CDC et al has full rein developing their test and when it became obvious they couldn't deliver on a test, It was Trump (and team) meeting with private sector leaders and FDA (in the first in the Feb-March transition timeframe) to open test protocol development to labs around the country, bolster medical and pharm supplies.

In short, any president would have been at the same spot on March 1. Except a Democrat president, under which we'd be worse off because they would not have enacted travel bans/quarantine.

Objective logic is clouding my judgment. Give me a contradiction that was of any consequence. And keep in mind that it was Fauci who stated that economic people can't be trusted to talk health, and that neither can he be entrusted with talking economy; that the president is the only person with the sole, awesome responsibility of having to balance those against each other.

Nolte: CNN Fails to Place One Show in Top 20 During Q1 of 2020

Far-left CNN failed to place even one show in the top 20 during the first quarter of this year.

Yes, you read that correctly… Despite the impeachment of a president and the coronavirus pandemic, the cable channel America used to automatically turn to in times of crisis could not do any better than number 22.

Fox News placed eight shows in the top ten and 14 in the top 20. The openly left-wing MSNBC filled those other slots.

CNNLOL finally arrives way behind its cable news competitors, at number 22, with Jake Tapper’s basement-rated The Lead, which still only managed to attract 1.387 million viewers. And Tapper probably only did that well because some of President Trump’s popular daily briefings aired during his otherwise anemic timeslot.

Sean Hannity topped everyone during the quarter with an average of 4.22 million viewers, which more than triples CNN’s top show.

Overall, Fox News had its biggest viewing quarter in the network’s history, averaging 3.4 million primetime viewers and 1.9 million total-day viewers.

CNNLOL was only able to average 1.43 million primetime viewers, with MSNBC coming in at 1.93 million.

Fox News beat both combined.

WTF does that have to do with the response time? WTF does that have to do with the price of tea in China? I don't trust anyone that heaps praise on donald. He appoints sycophants to head roles so they can massage his ego. Anyone who needs his ego massages that much is definitely a worthless POS.

That’s fair , do you trust the ones that down him with every word he says and every deed he does ? Nobody is ever that good or that bad . Fair is fair .

Understandable. Im 40, no issues other than being extremely handsome.

That being said, I try to give people their space while this suckers going on...and I'm off work until next Thursday and I'm going to be in 100% hermit mode. I have some painting to do, some new songs to learn on guitar..gonna do my part to slow the spread of the disease I'm not super concerned about.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little concerned for NGV and myself .

You will deflect. Fauci and Birx have to praise dear leader, just like any other person around him. Otherwise he will get his fee-fees hurt. He's fragile like a snowflake, and you emulate him, what does that say about you?

Ill-advised double-down.
I'm missing the deflect/fragile gene and address arguments directly. Make your point and stop dancing.

I'm sure the "let's not televise the C19 pressers until we can scrub it" strategy will vault them to the summit...

Many don't know they were exposed, how many people really know how they contracted it?

You do it to minimize the spread. Think of a family of four, the Mom shows no symptoms but tests positive - she can still spread the disease. If she knows she is positive, she's likely not going to hug her kids or sleep in the same bed as her husband. It's not complicated - more testing is beneficial.
I looked it up to see who they are testing..... they are testing people who have come in contact with people diagnosed and those with mild symptoms that are referred by a doctor..... it would be extremely hard to test everyone with zero symptoms

Michiganders Blast Gretchen Whitmer over Unemployment System Failure: ‘Governor Doesn’t Give a Hoot About Any of Us’

Working Michiganders displaced by the coronavirus pandemic are confronting a new frustration: A failing unemployment computer system.

“My encouragement for folks is, keep attempting to get that application in,” Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) told reporters on Thursday.

“But, know that we understand the incredible strain on the system, the incredible number of people that have been impacted, and we are going to work to make sure people get the unemployment that they need to get through this crisis.”

One resident, Kathy Mooradian, told the Detroit Free Press she has been trying to file a claim “for days,” that she ran out of patience, and that “our governor doesn’t give a hoot about any of us.”

“We understand the frustrations and we appreciate the patience people have shown,” Jason Moon, a spokesman for the state Labor Department said, according to the paper. “We are experiencing an unprecedented historical demand on the system.”

Mooradian, meanwhile, was more direct, demanding Whitmer “fix the damn 800-number,” a play on the governor’s promise as a candidate to “fix the damn roads.”

The Michigander said the unemployment system “cannot complete my call, is too busy sometimes it answers and I get to press 1, then it just hangs up.”

She added, “This has happened over 100 times.”

On Tuesday, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (DLEO) posted an alert on Twitter acknowledging the failure of the Unemployment Insurance Agency.
