I thought she claimed her assets were in blind trust. Was that ever confirmed?

$18M is a lot to most people. I don’t get why she would risk it for that though. They’re worth like $500M...
Not sure that it’s in a blind trust, but it is managed by a 3rd party.

I think most same people think greedy people are bad. All rich people are not greedy. For every Warren Buffett, there's a donald.
Dude/Dudette in my previous business I dealt with a lot of ultra-wealthy individuals. They were nice to you face but if they thought they could make a dime off you they would.

You are wrong. DuPont was not in high demand at the time of her major purchase. Their stock had been performing poorly. You have to keep in mind that at the time of her purchase, most Republicans were downplaying the threat of the virus... Trump and Fox News definitely were.
You are showing your ignorance of investing in the stock market. Another employee of First Horizon, an investment advisor, had about as much knowledge as you, and that is why I didn't invest a large sum of money with them after meeting with the man.

It's pure greed. Forbes had Martha Stewart's net worth at close to $1 billion in 1999. She went to jail for a stock dump that only netted her $45,000.

I disagree, testing is critical in mitigating the spread because it can identify those who test positive but have no symptoms who might otherwise think they are fine.

I agree with you on the Person to ICU Bed Ratio. I saw an article on this, I forget the exact numbers but I'll take your word for it.
Why would you test people that have no symptoms unless they have been exposed which we were already quarantining them

Fact, there are a portion of Democrats that believe you should not be able to pass family money tax free. Remember that money has already been taxed.

First of the week the youngest kid’s boss/owner was saying gonna have to lay you off like I just did everyone else since biz is so slow. Fast forward, today that boss says no layoff, calling everyone back in but even less hours across the board because I’ll (boss) be working shifts to cut expenses since I got laid off my primary job. The boss/owner just snagged the new small biz virus money.

Boss was originally doing lay-offs so the workers could at least draw UI and was just going to run the store alone since customers are nonexistent now.

Wonder how often we’ll be seeing that crap happen so small biz owners get to pocket any excess cash.

As a small business owner I would try to avoid at all costs even taking this. And double that on the idea of trying to profit off this nonsense.

That is where not having a CDC helped. They were able to get private companies to come up with test without being approved.
Germany has remarkably few COVID-19 deaths. Its healthcare system shows how Germany prevented a runaway death toll.
This is a good read

As I understand it, that would be pro rata. So if we lose one employee, then we pay that part back at 1 % interest. We would not be firing anyone.

Interesting. Trying to avoid it. My belief usually settles with, if the govenrment set it up, try to stay away from it.

They did a study on the people quarantined on that cruise ship. Each person was regularly tested. They found that as many as 25% tested positive but never had symptoms from start to finish. However they could still spread the virus. That's one of the big problems with this thing. They believe a lot of people are positive and have been spreading it but never get sick.
