Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

He's the President. When he downplays the seriousness of the virus, people listen. He quite a bit more time trying to talk up the economy than he did making the public aware of how serious the threat was. Based on what he was supposedly told by the experts, he should've been aggressively addressing the potential shortfalls in medical equipment in January or early February at the latest. He should've been pushing the public to start practicing containment measures around the same time instead of pushing a "business as usual" message to protect the economy. Once the experts started saying it was too late for containment, and we needed to look towards a strategy to mitigate the spread, he continued to push a message that the virus was contained.

I can continue for quite a while on the various ways that he totally botched the response to this.

Time lost initiating a federal campaign to aquire essential supplies. Now competing with the states, which some said should have been doing it themselves, and they were.

If you think Trump or any President is the sole decision maker on issues like this, I’d say you have blinders on. Just yesterday, everyone’s favorite New Democrat Andrew Cuomo said “we” underestimate the virus and it’s much more aggressive than what was thought.

March 27: Number of COVID 19 cases in US - 104,126

April 1: Number of COVID 19 cases in US (at 4:45 ET) - 211, 143

Took five days to double the number. TIFWIW. Be interesting to see if NOLA and S. FLA take us backward to 2-3 days to double the cases.

Oh ... Poppycock. What they are told and what that decide to play politics with is the only real difference . If they weren’t briefed , they would all have their chicken heads on CNN the minute the briefing was over clucking about it .

So, do you know if something was left out of the briefings or not? And how would they know if it weren't included in the briefings.

Otherwise I'm not sure what has you so ruffled, to use the "P word"

So, what is the point of all of these tweets from February? Is that supposed to make that official or the politicians look inept?

Keep in mind, I am no fan of a lot of politicians, esp. liberal ones.
Trump's actions have basically reflected the American consensus the entire time since early January.

It's "20/20 hindsight" on steroids. If Trump did what many of you are claiming you wish he did in late January, you same people would have eviscerated him as everyone else was claiming it was no big deal at the time.

We go from him being the most horrible despicable person ever who shouldn't be trusted, to he's the President and people listen, then back to most horrible despicable person ever that shouldn't be trusted. Is there a calendar that denotes which one people are supposed to go with on any given day?
They are insane. All of them.

Or send it back to Argentia or Netherlands it's port of Registry.
This is such an overlooked issue. These "American" companies register their ships in other countries because they don't want to pay US taxes, but they want us to defend them and protect them and shelter them when the $hit hits the fan. Pay up or GTFO.

I just use logic . The law says they must be briefed , they have historically ran to CNN when they thought they weren’t ( see the decision to whack the Iranian big cheese ) . One can logically reach the conclusion that if Pelosi , Schiff , and little Swallowswell isn’t on CNN clucking about how Trump isn’t briefing them ... they are being briefed according to the law .

That seems like a lot until you realize that’s a little over one half of one percent of the total population.

That logic works as long as they think/know there is something being held back. But if you say Trump's admin wouldn't purposefully leave something out, and the Dems wouldn't know about it, I'd say I believe you aren't being completely candid.

Why would you leave it out knowing they could use it against you on their liberal networks ?
