Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Obama was right on top of the swine flu, wasn't he?
No he wasn't. I remember daily huddles to clarify new policies. No help from the latest guidelines because they were few and far between, no early identification other than fever. Stay home. We had 24 beds full of sick people and cancelled scheduled open hearts.

I thought they fixed the wording to where a person couldn't make more on UE than they were while working? If they didn't then I expect to see some of my office people try to get "laid off".

Holy crap what a cluster F this is going to turn into .

You might be surprised how often the chain of command gets skipped in the other direction to.

Things must have changed tremendously then. While acting platoon leader of a scout platoon my interactions with our battalion commander was generally nothing more than "yes sir, we'll get it done".

Not saying it is across the board, only that personally, I had many backdoor communications with command level brass who were seeking "the straight dope".

Naturally, I agree 100%. But this is the stuff I want to discuss. The parsing every word and lie coming from the dude's mouth and how horrible in every conceivable way is like middle school clique drama. It's tiring. We haven't had a president worth a plug nickel in decades.
Oh yeah. They arent worth spending LG amounts of time on it.

I have too many other things going on to follow along on tweets, or how many scoops of ice cream, etc. Just like any other "star" if people stopped talking about them I wouldnt know what they were doing.

I also see it as the reason they see him as the worst. It seems like their lives revolve around Trump. Only two ways that goes you end up loving him or hating him beyond reason.

Taking a step, or twelve, back allows me to maintain some objectiveness. I take pride in getting called both commie leftist scum and Trump humper. Neither is true, but it means the two sides with their collective heads shoved up Trumps butt cant figure me out.

Uh.....what about me???? Just look at my cuddly furry face in my avi. I've got a spunky attitude, too. I'm totally lovable.
Are you kidding, I see those viscous teeth, ears pulled back in aggression.
Two people look at the same thing, one sees a sweet fur ball the other a monster.

It's not just them though. Anyone still working shouldn't receive a dime.
I'm still working but my wife isnt. $1200 is less than 1 paycheck, she is looking at losing 2-4 paychecks. Hopefully not more. We dont necessarily live paycheck to paycheck but if it was only $1200 for the both of us it would severely strain us. My portion of the $2400 will go straight to her.

Maybe they did, I don't know. I was told $600 federal plus the state $275. Even if it's equal, I suspect some would rather stay home to make the same amount of $$.

Quote from your link. Very encouraging.
"Researchers combined that data on "infection prevalence" with public information on reported cases and deaths, estimating the overall death rate to be about two-thirds of 1%.
That number, though, went up in older adults, with approximately 7.8% of those 80 or older estimated to die after infection. And deaths were estimated to be exceedingly rare in children younger than 9, with a fatality rate of just 0.00161%."
