I am glad he talked about it and any other potential therapies. Gives me hope. If it was Obama you would say the same thing.

Right now the transmission rate curve is bending downward at a more accelerated rate. The sooner we get the rate under 1, the better.

Will cross 1 million processed tests today, so we may be ahead of many countries on the testing front despite a slow start. Are there mild and untested cases out there? Of course. But they are less of an unknown and more of a constant now, and the actual transmission rate can be seen in confirmed cases.

Encouraging. Distancing and self-quarantine measures are working, apparently.

If we can get the infection rate to a manageable level, this will do more for stabilizing the economies than carrying on with a que sera sera attitude, which some have advocated for.

How many walking dead do we have in the areas that don't have an apparent problem? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I had an inquiry from a Dutch company yesterday, looking to remove a few ppm of O2 from a small H2 stream.

They gave me the temperature as 278K. Had to think for a second... let’s see, zero centigrade is 273K if memory serves...

I agree. It is what it is until there is something better. Let the science work. It seems the choices are these drugs to keep you off a ventilator or ????.

2 nurses sitting in the lobby masked in occ health. One didn't know whether to take my temp or not because I had a flu mask on per policy. They kept asking If i was sick. No I'm following policy. Then she takes my temp after a nurse just outside my vision whispered
" take her temp"
I was taken in for a fit test. The medium allowed too much air flow and the nurse pulls from a full box of smalls sitting on the floor. 👀 I thought we were out? They ended up handing me a brown paper bag with 1 n-95 small mask with care instructions. Told I could wear it for 5 uses around corona pts. So i ended up with the same mask they called me in for. I mentioned the cdc guideline to stop fit testing people and they didn't have a clue. I handed then my self monitor papers and they handled them like a dirty diaper. Smh at the cluster. No one was gloved.
Instills a bunch of faith and hope with the people I work with.
I lived through H1N1, things were really tough then. Apparently my facility isn't quite at that level yet of dealing with this virus. No reported cases in my icu per a co-worker.

There are only a few people who would be excluded from the drug on a previous condition. It's a fairly safe drug. It can't be mixed with antipsychotics and certain heart meds. Xanax is out.

Completely agree. I have said this 1,000 times it needs to go to those who truly are in need. And the unemployment benefit needs to be based off the individuals previous income. By no means should someone be making more on unemployment than they do by working their current job. All you’re going to do is encourage folks to be laid off which leads to those laying down on their current jobs. I am already seeing it at our plant.

Also if you do receive a check and still have a job or are not in need I encourage you to forward it on to someone who is truly in need. My wife and I have already identified a family that is already in need from this current crisis who will be receiving the money from our check if we get one.
