Painting with a broad brush and calling people stupid and evil based on the bad behavior of the worst impulses of other people under their tent is an abandonment of personal responsibility in favor of guilt by association and also fails to recognize that, having just been given a choice, most Democrats have chosen decency over the negativity and angst of the Sanders movement.

My advice is to maybe just learn to recognize when you’re reading something like that from either side. Don’t share it, don’t defend it, and do your best to call it out from either side when it is shared here.

What a great post. This board is 85% right-wing and most think that every post that doesn't conform to their ideology or worship Trump is stupid or evil because they are so used to living in a state and being on a message board where almost everyone agrees with them. It almost shocks them when someone doesn't.

That’s not true.... you just care about things people on this board typically don’t care about..... The arguments on here are always the same and rarely about anything important.

actually, when I have disagreed with Trump policy I have been able to have good conversations with others. Many times we agree to disagree but it doesn't devolve to childish name calling and bickering. Wonder why I can do that with others but you can't??

Hahaha! What's funny is that I actually enjoy the debate and prefer to avoid the name calling, but so many on here can't avoid it when someone disagrees with them and have to go to the insults and name calling, although I am not saying you fit in this category. This board is 85% right-wing though, wouldn't you agree?

Which would be? Sensible gun legislation, keeping Roe v. Wade from being overturned, etc.

Neither topic interests me that much although I have opinions on both..... what I typically read is how he talks to people and it goes on and on and on

I would disagree. It’s about maybe 10% right wing, 85% leaning right and 5% on the edge of the cliff left.

The last time we did a poll was a couple years ago. The results back then showed about 50% right wing, several libertarians and several left wing. I think it seems more slanted because the leftists are going to find disagreement with both right wing and libertarians.

More likely because I approach the disagreement without being disagreeable. Plus I try to maintain a good humor on most things. Although I got my panties in a twist when the Senators profited from insider trading a couple weeks ago. Good news, Barr is going after them.

I think Zep and Luther are really good about discussing issues. Luther is way to the left but generally doesn't get into squabbles. Zep is more moderate. I don't agree with him politically very much but he is a very likable poster. However, there are some people and some days where people just want to argue...and they will argue about anything.
