Shut it down, it’s a elective procedure unless the mom is at immediate risk of dying. Feds have already requested elective medical procedures be postponed.

Such is the depth of Donald Trump's narcissism and egocentric nature, that he has actually taken to Twitter and also devoted time during a briefing to boast of the high Neilsen ratings that "his" press briefings have been receiving during this pandemic. He has even gone as far as to compare these ratings to "Monday Night Football" and "The Bachelor". Here are some examples of Trump going off on a self-absorbed tangent :

"Because the 'Ratings' of my News Conferences etc. are so high, 'Bachelor finale, Monday Night Football type numbers' according to the @nytimes, the Lamestream Media is going CRAZY. Trump is reaching too many people, we must stop him.' said one lunatic. See you at 5:00 P.M. !" - from a Donald Trump tweet on March 29th at 1:06 p.m.

"President Trump is a ratings hit. Since reviving the daily White House briefing Mr. T 'rump and his coronavirus updates have attracted an average audience of 8.5 million on cable new, roughly the viewership of the season finale of 'The Bachelor'. Numbers are continuing to rise...

On Monday, nearly 12.2 million people watched Mr. Trump's briefing on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, according to Neilsen - 'Monday Night Football numbers. Millions more are watching on ABC, CBS, NBC and online streaming sites, and the audience is expanding. On Monday, Fox News...

...alone attracted 6.2 million viewers for the president's briefing - an astounding number for a 6 p.m. cable broadcast, more akin to the viewership for a popular prime-time sitcom...

...The CBS News poll said 13 percent of Republicans trusted the news media for information about the virus." - Michael M. Grynbaum @NYTimes - from 4 Donald Trump tweets on March 29th at 1:49 p.m.

Trump also bragged about "his" high ratings during the briefing itself on Sunday.... What kind of person is focused on Neilsen ratings at a time like this? He is comically narcissistic and focused on himself... even during a time of crisis for the country. He is both flattered by and enamored with what he perceives to be the country tuning in to see him, rather than simply to obtain information on the pandemic. Trump is a pathetically egocentric person. As a leader, Trump is a farcical caricature of an insecure and petty little man.

Well part of it is there are numerous media outlets and people suggesting the briefings should not be carried live (see the first tweet in your post).

He's an ego maniac to be sure but it's nuts that media people are suggesting the briefings shouldn't be aired (and some stations are refusing to do so because "he's lying"). Coincidence that his approval rating is at an all time high?

That has nothing to do with his boasting over ratings - which he has frequently done over the years. Trump really does think it's all about him, all of the time. It is quite telling of his maturity and character that he is concerned with the Neilsen ratings of the Coronavirus press briefings and boasting about them, as if these ratings are some further testament to his personal grandeur.... and making these personal boasts during a time of crisis for the country.

As for his approval ratings? Yes, they have gone up about 4 points across the board, but that is not unusual for a President during a time of national crisis - see George W. Bush's numbers post 9/11. We will see if it holds... my guess is it won't - and his boasting over the Neilsen ratings of press briefings while millions of Americans are losing their jobs and tens of thousands of others are dying, won't help his cause. Who wants to hear that right now? It is incredibly self-absorbed... and to a pathological extent.

It does have something to do with it. If the media is considering shutting him down he's going to go directly to the public to encourage them to continue to demand access to the PCs.

Which is worse, him boasting about his Nielsen ratings or Pelosi holding a press conference to claim that he's killing people with his actions?

Which is worse, him boasting about his Nielsen ratings or media folks seriously considering not airing the PCs because they're concerned it helps him with the public?

As I said - plenty of bad behavior to comment on.
