Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I'll give the man this much.... He's damned good at couching his racism, misogyny, and xenophobia in such a way that he can always say "But, that's not what I said!"

Yeah, the guy who campaigned on improving people's live - specifically that of blacks and hispanics - is covertly racist for doing just that, and in unprecedented fashion.

I'm betting a lot of blacks and hispanics have been loving that 'racism'.

Nah.... Tried 'em once. Didn't care for it.

I DO, however, have enough sense to be able to understand what he's implying when he makes those type of statements.

Unlike, apparently, some others.

Sorry, forgot to hit "quote".... Not used to doing this on my phone.

So your racist accusations are built on assumptions. My goodness, do you not see what you're doing? Lol.

Most reasonable people will not punish him for doing what he feels is the right thing to keep them safe, and keep the medical field from getting overwhelmed.
Most people don't like him but were probably going to vote for him because the economy was roaring, now he is contributing to the collapse.

Receiving the benefit-of-doubt is largely an earned courtesy.
Trump spent his entire campaign and presidency doing everything imaginable to insure that he never received that courtesy.
He doesn't deserve that courtesy, he hasn't earned that courtesy.
It is a courtesy Trump extends to absolutely no one.
That has always been one of the obvious and unfortunate consequences of his whole Trumpism shtick.

Nonsense. The same people who'd parse to death every Trump sentence fragment certainly did not extend that scrutiny to leftist politicians.

Take the earlier example I mentioned - that Trump said neo-Nazis/white power types were "fine people". It's a blatant lie that has been repeated thousands of times. It is the cornerstone lie used to paint him as 'racist'.
Go clean your own toilet.

I will disagree with this. Keeping the medical field in good shape is hardly the job scope of that office.

We know exactly what he means. We are the racist, misogynistic xenophobic bigots, ever hungry for the red meat he dishes out to us in code words.

Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound? Since when did "corporations" the same "corporations" the vast majority of Americans work for become the enemy?
I work for a corporation. I also own it and am its only employee. To me it’s in the .gov where you find the evil.

Friend of mine was exposed via her friend who tested positive (a day after the exposure). Friend shows not symptoms after 10 days. She is in mid 30s and in good health overall.
Her friend is recovering nicely at home. Basically dealing with a upper respiratory infection. No hospitalization. No ventilator.

Any meds?

I wasn't aware of what the MI governor has said re: vendors selling or not. As such, I didn't feel qualified to comment.

If that is true (and I have no reason to doubt that it isn't) it's ridiculous...... However, she's not responsible for the entire federal gov't's lack of response to this.

Trump's "blue-skying" about this mess back in Jan. was disingenuous at best and downright negligent at worst. I expect better from elected officials. Especially the president of the US. Unfortunately, what I expect and what I get are frequently diametrically opposed.
She is responsible for her state's lack of preparedness for this. Governor's do not need federal approval to act. There seems to be a narrative that states are beholden to the federal government. They are not.

They are not doing their jobs..... they are trying to manipulate the American public to believe their version of events.... Thay cannot stand that he won’t allow them to control the message.... I don’t really have an opinion on the 2A besides I agree with it and want my fellow Americans to be able to own a weapon if they choose to do so.... I don’t currently own a gun.
You need to listen to the questions the reporters are asking at these daily news briefings. Their job is not to toss the President softballs. These are not supposed to be campaign rallies, although Trump often treats them like they are. The media's job is to ask difficult and probing questions, which is not something new for Trump and has been this way for EVERY president whether Democrat or Respublican, especially in modern history.

At this point it really is hard to tell how bad it is in NY. I’m not sure the media is giving a true picture and anecdotes from Twitter are just that, anecdotes.

constantly referring to reporters as fake news, is a way of infringing on their 1st amendment. the 1st amendment has nothing to do with jail....who told you that?
This is exactly right. The Right is fine with this infringement, but if you even mention anything about their guns, then they raise hell. Total hypocrisy.
