Coronavirus (No politics)

I'm very interested to see how this thing follows the models. TN looks like it will at least be able to handle their prediction medically.

The epidemiologists at UW are some of the best in the country. At least they gave an interval estimate for total deaths from 38k -
>200k with a prediction of around 83k. Sadly, I think we will be on the higher end of the interval but not because of lack of ventilators. This virus is just spreading too rapidly.

Last 3 days new cases
26th 17,224
27th 18,691
28th 19,452
The deaths are troubling to see even though the death rate is around 1.8% I suppose if we followed seasonal flu cases closely we would see quite a few deaths also. Are there any positives from these 3 days that maybe it is leveling out and not growing 2-3 fold daily?

NYC seems to be beginning to level out - will take some time but they are growing at a slower rate. Because they have the most cases, that will help out overall numbers until some other areas catch up - but hopefully they flatten too.

Walker Springs Walmart has put pads in all checkout lines and service counters letting you know where 6 feet is.

I went to the post office on Friday and noticed they had done the same thing. There was only one person in front of me when I came in. I abided by the lines. Few people came in behind me and stayed at their line too. The postman came out and kinda laughed. Told me the lines had been there for 3 days but this was the first time people had paid attention to them.

So which patients are they testing? Any?

She only works on one floor and it’s primarily the stroke and neuro patients. But her coworkers have complained about Drs unwillingness to teat patients who are showing multiple symptoms. Only thing she figures is lack of kits.

I still think there’s a chance this was purposeful and part of a strategy has to take over the world once every country is brought to its knees.

I kinda think they'd have started the whole thing somewhere other than where the virology lab is, so I'm still leaning toward accidental release. It hasn't been lethal enough for them to intentionally call attention to themselves and what they are doing, and I can't see this as a warning shot that they can do more lethal.
