Lol. 50%. This is barely above 1% in this country.

If have the nation self isolates they shouldnt get infected. No matter what the other 50% does. Either they shouldnt get infected or they are really bad at self isolating.

Not self isolating doesnt mean kicking in doors and breaking grandpa out of Club Fed.

Is this the same thing that used to run my neighborhood when my kids were young? 1980's ish Toyota or Nissan pickup with faded paint and a few rust spots. Back of bed has several bottles of died mystery juice lined up and a cooler with shaved ice inside. The picture of health in modern society.

I've been saying it for a couple weeks now. I think there is a disconnect somewhere in the "estimates" we're seeing out of states vs the actual cases we're seeing around the world.

Either they are completely misunderstanding how to calculate and are coming up with absurd projections, or they're just doing it intentionally. Or every other country in the world is just lucky.

And I actually just got home from helping a friend with his to go orders, like I've done everyday this week at a restaurant I used to manage. Volunteered. I'm no saint, but far from a hermit or government slave. Just because I haven't been on every page of this thread and the one the Pub bishing like an 8 year old girl doesn't mean I'm anywhere close to what you think you know.

Early in I heard all about the real men back in the day, during the tough times and the great depression taking care of their business. If they had the Internet back then, do you think they would have spent hours and hours everyday bishing about not being able to go to the movies or out to eat?

I hope you get you job back and work you 40 hours overtime each week for the rest of the summer, with no AC. Lol.

Contradictions. Contradications everywhere mein furher.

A society can not be free If it's people arent. There is no logic to believing otherwise.

However the belief of a free individual inside a free society is completely logical.

You are putting the cart, society, in front of the horse, individuals. Society is based on the rounding off of individuals. You either have to associate society so tightly to only apply to those who 100% agree with each other, or you dont have a free society made up of free individuals.

Even the basic constraints we were founded on were designed to limit the government to protect the individuals. Checks and balances. And you want to throw it all away.

Our goods are extremely long term. We can stand a two week shutdown. It was my guys that were my concern. They're not 6 figure guys. That's why I offered them the chance to work. I think some are counting on that gubment check.

I don't think it's intentional. At one point there was very little data.

We do have pretty stable data now on what percent that get tested need hospitalization (just under 15%) and of that group what percent require a ventilator (20 - 25%).

Also consider that ventilators are not perishable and a sick patient may require a week of ventilation then it's available for the next patient.

I understand being cautious but claiming 30,000 are needed for the state of NY is highly at conflict with the reality on the ground.
