Definitely gonna see a rise in depression because of not going to be able to get out to visit friends but there is also the War of the World's fear mongering like Governors of large states talking 56% infection rate and irrational studies showing 2 million US deathsMy inquiry was tongue-in-cheek, but it's interesting that we might see more suicides caused by the response to covid than actual covid deaths.

Never mind that after his first prediction UK officials enacted most of his recommendations to avoid those outcomes.
The logic is something like:
Person A: Swerve the car or you are going to run into that ditch.
Person B: Swerves.
Person C: remember when Person A said we were going to run into a ditch, yet we hit no ditch. Person A isn't credible.
Again, you're freaking out as bad as the ones that do want to shut the society down.
I’m positive there are some real quotes, from democrats of a high enough profile that you would learn their name (or at least their title) that make your point.
At least for me personally, I’m just not sure the point is worth as much as it would have been if you had cared that the tweet was likely fabricated.
School system closed. Just a minor part of society, I know.
Cant walk into a restaurant to eat.
My tennis club is closed. DW is closed. Sports leagues are closed.
Cant believe there are 2 of you..
If you mean me because I gave his post a like, Lol, yea. I'm blessed that my wife and I have only been slightly inconvenienced. I don't eat out often, don't play tennis and have no kids, so I think its funny you "can't believe there ate two" of us that disagrees that society is "closed".
I pray that this gets no worse than it already is and we start the recovery soon. All concerns are legitimate IMO.
So the eff what? You can go buy a car, furniture, groceries, a boat, a fish tank, beer, wine, liquor, a shovel, a bolt cutter, a gun (if there are any left), some rope, a tennis racket, ect... the the stuff you can do is vastly out numbers what you can do. Is it an inconvenience? Sure. Is it something to freak out about? LOL, no. DO I like it? Hell no!Not freaking out. I am stating you're an idiot if you are making the argument that society isnt shut down.
Movies closed.
Theme parks closed.
Schools closed.
Universities closed.
Any function larger than 10 discouraged or outright disallowed.
To hold the view society hasnt shut down requires a stupidity that is off the charts.

So the kids get a few weeks extra break. My son goes to UT, he's still taking every class, on-line. The way you are going on and on and on about it at least appears like you are freaking out. You can't even have a honest discussion without telling someone to go back into their bunker. You are becoming the same as you despise.
LOL. I own my own business. We are shut down. I could have opened but my guys said they would rather not. I was worried about them so I offered them the opportunity to work, safely. We can't work from home so I said we could alternate shifts where each could come in a day or two by themselves so they could get some hours without being exposed to others. You know how many took advantage? Zero. Not one. They seem less concerned about money than I do.Hopefully he isnt entering the job market soon.
