Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It's the foundation on which our laws are established.
How many times do I have to remind you of that?
You're currently seeing it play out - much to your disappointment.
You've been using this same-ole, rehashed, weak-ass argument since the beginning of this thread.

Here's a refresher from a pretty good source: The U.S. Constitution: Preamble

"The preamble is an introduction to the highest law of the land; it is not the law. It does not define government powers or individual rights. "

He told you - First (right of assembly) and Second (some areas shuttering access to arms) to start.
Some of you are determined to burn it down by the word of the constitution. That's pretty F'ed up if you ask me. Defending stupidity is idiotic. Hog thinks he has had this virus, recovered, and immune. He may be. They can't test for that yet.

You conveniently left off the sentence leading into the portion you quoted.....
The preamble sets the stage for the Constitution (Archives.gov). It clearly communicates the intentions of the framers and the purpose of the document.
(my statement is more emphatic than yours because I not only greatly increased the font size but also italicized)

I haven't complained about the lockdown. That said, it is worth discussing the governmental power issues at play.

yes the purpose of the document is to enumerate the powers of the Federal government. The preamble does not perform that purpose. It is an introduction.

We've pumped billions of dollars into researching the best thing to do. so at this point, sit down and do it. Bitching is not going to do a damn thing to that document. Hold it tight when it suites you.

It's far more than an introduction, it provides the whole basis and rationale: We the People of the United States, in Order to....

I think he's the one that keeps saying that people are hoping for more deaths so Trump looks bad.

Could be a fixation.
They will argue 6 way to Sunday just to say they don't want to stay home and it's their constitutional right to be an idiot. Their lives are that bad.

LOL - tell that to all the people losing their minds about something Trump said.

Glad you trust the infallibility of your Overlords rather than spending a second contemplating the role of government.

A study can be conducted where random population is screened through serology testing for antibodies. We’ll get hindsight on it eventually.

I think I recall some discussion of studying subtle mutations in order to determine how long the virus been present in a particular area. Haven't heard much about it being used, but seems it would go a long way as to determining the likelihood of the virus being present long enough for people to have contracted it and recovered.

One day they will keep the block party going during a Cat 6 hurricane, refusing to be told to evacuate, or stay inside... and we'll wonder what happened... At least we'll know they died free.

I've contemplated the role of government Chief and it's obvious the Republicans don't know how to Govern. Apparent;y their disciples want to argue the constitution right to wander the streets when their a zombie.
