Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

But they are looking for more dead people on the chance it may hurt the president
It's incredible some on this board and even some of my family and friends on FB cheering growing cases...there was an actual reporter today mocking the President because there was a very small study that showed that Chloroquine might not be effective.....that's how much the libs hate this country

Brother, this ain't the flu.

Did not say it was. But the tweet was absurd. It was alarmist as usual. 8,800 people per hour, on average, contracted the flu for 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, for 180 day.

He posts his new cases like it is some kind of infection rate the world has never seen.

It's the death rate that's the problem.

And again the Libs think it's terrible that some think we need to get back to work when they said absolutely nothing about Obama ignoring H1N1 a virus that ended up killing 500k people in 1 year

Stop it you really don't have a clue. But should have known that. You are in other threads touting Joe Biden of all people. Lol. If the president did not think Dr F was doing the right thing don't you think he would be "reassigned"?
I am touting Joe Biden and he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. I have also seen Dr. Fauci walk back several of Trump's overly optimistic comments and frankly, misguided suggestions to the American people. Trump has been dismissive of this virus from the start. He has also over-hyped the response to this crisis, such as he did with this tweet:

President Donald Trump: "Ford, General Motors and Tesla are being given the go ahead to make ventilators and other metal products, FAST! @fema Go for it auto execs, let's see how good you are!"

FACT CHECK: No automaker is anywhere close to making medical gear such as ventilators and they remain months away - if not longer. Nor do the car companies need the president's permission to move forward. This ridiculous tweet makes it seem like President Trump was authorizing them to do something which they couldn't do on their own. It's bizarre.

New Orleans is going to be a disaster once those cases fan out to the South, which is known for its complete absence of exacerbating issues like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.

Looking at the TN.gov site and it’s interesting that there are no cases reported in Lake, Obion, Weakley or Henry counties along with none in Fulton, Hickman or Graves counties in KY, just across the boarder. Yet just to south cases are found in Dyer and Gibson counties.🤷‍♀️

Exactly what kind of hoodoo was conjured in that NWTN area when Reelfoot Lake was created? I’ve referred to that area as a sucking black hole for years but damn...

Disclaimer: I grew up in that area, so no wadded knickers over the black hole comment are required.

I hear you. In total cases we aren’t that high compared to other viruses. Yet, at least. Hopefully social distancing keeps us at this low spread rate.

A problem of course is that we are already at 10 deaths an hour, which is about where a flu season is. Looks like we could be at 40 deaths an hour next week. Do we finally start to see that slow next week once we are a few weeks into social distancing? What would it be after that without it?

I understand you’re frustrated at what seems like aggrandizing in his tweet but similar comparisons to flu when it comes to death should be concerning.

I think people will start to flee the metropolitan areas in search of rural areas that still have capacity in their hospitals, which will get this thing even to some of the most rural parts of America. Already happening with New Yorkers.

Just Trump falsely taking credit again. And this time for something fake anyway.

The guy is unbelievable. No wonder the banks turn down his business. He's full of crap and they know it.

Yup. They are taking the virus with them, and dont even know it. Family won't turn them down. Why do you think Florida cases are skyrocketing?

The libs don't hate the country, they hate seeing Trump harm the country.
Trump was and continues to be a colossal mistake.
Personally, I would like to see him make nothing but good decisions during this crisis and then get soundly defeated in the election.

NYC is like a ghost town. Almost everybody who doesn’t have to work has already left. Good luck getting them to self-quarantine for 2 weeks.
