I don't know for sure...and haven't read your link, yet. It is possible that the public taking those drugs as a preventative approach or before actually diagnosed with the proper pathogen could do more harm than good. Im just speculating here, though.

No one in DC ever mentioned a pet store source nor did 99% of the population realize that fish tank cleaner could be confused with the prescription medication. I can see another avenue of confusion here. Antibiotics are often sold without regulation as "fish antibiotics", a loophole to get the exact same antibiotics as you would get from a prescription. It's a Prepper thing.
