Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I'd like to see a time plot of coronavirus vs flu hospitalizations and deaths for 2020. I know I'm not going to get it from the news because it doesn't fit the agenda. I don't really care about infected since so many are asymptomatic.

I know the numbers are growing for coronavirus, but everything must be put in perspective.

Cant give you the comparison because covid numbers are so scarce.

But US Flu this season so far.

38,000,000 illnesses
390,000 hospitalizations
23,000 deaths.

Charlotte just mandated stay at home except for" jobs of necessity " effective 8am Thursday .

Thankfully construction is mentioned as a "necessity" in the documents so I can still work. My wife is a realtor and cannot.

Effective until 4.16 .20

School out until 5.16.20

W.t.f..........so angry.

Edit...Meck county is about 1.1 million people.

Surrounding counties sure to follow suit being Charlotte up to about 2 million

Republican senator John Kennedy says people drinking too much at Mardi Gras caused the rapid spread of coronavirus in Louisiana and slams China for 'worrying more about their image than the world's health'

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy declared that people drinking during Mardi Gras caused coronavirus to spread in the state as they had weaker immune systems when they contracted the virus.

The Republican senator also slammed China for being 'worried about their image', claiming the country was not concerned about the 'world's health' when sharing how severe the virus is.

Kennedy then blamed the lack of information as to why people were so willing to travel to New Orleans to take part in the boisterous activities towards the end of February.

'We're a hot spot,' the conservative politician said in a segment with Fox News. 'It started in New Orleans. It's moving into the rest of the state.'

He continued: 'I think it has a lot to do with Mardi Gras. I think our friends in China were worried about their image more than the world's health and sat on the news about this virus for longer than they should have.

Wow, what a distortion. He said the event likely had a lot to do with the spread, due to people coming in from all over. The too much to drink was likely referencing the bad judgment and lack of hygiene that often accompanies. He was right on point with his comments.

In Tennessee, basically everything is essential except tattoo parlors and bars.

I have been blessed by the Lord to have not been financially concussed by this pandemic. I am immensely thankful for that. I have used this thread, at times (okay, a lot), for comedic relief via memes, but my heart sincerely goes out to those of you who have been affected. I pray God keeps each of you safe, and that none of you suffer physically or financially.

To expect any city to spend OVER HALF A BILLION dollars for a problem they do not have...which had never before happened on US soil is stupid. Plain stupid.

Now trying to sneak hundreds of pages of bullcrap laws and funds into a crisis budget law??? HANG EM HIGH.

I have said this for years:

Term limits.
To make any new law, 2 must be deleted.
Term limits.
Abolish lobbying. Its legalized bribery complete buckshot.

Term limits.

Trump has re-committed himself to the refrain of minimizing the virus. The science does not support him. If in fact come Easter it is still rampant and overwhelming hospitals as predicted, he can kiss reelection goodbye.

Turned on Larry... He makes a good point about Trump encouraging people to "pack the churches" on Easter. What could go wrong?

Maybe this is the day that the Trump/Fox News devout take their elderly family members to be offered up for sacrifice.
