In fairness Taiwan is an island a little bigger than Maryland with the population of FL. Not that your observations don't have merit but the context is a bit different than most places.

Mind you, I'm not simply discussing total infections/deaths, but per capita.

Taiwan has 24M citizens and is about the 17th most densely populated country on earth, is China's backyard and haven't gone lockdown. There's every reason to have expected high *rates* of infection due to those factors. Any way you slice it, Taiwan's response has been one of it not the most, effective.

As much as I want everything back to normal I doubt we will be ready by Easter. This virus is just getting started as far as the numbers go. I know everyone has different opinions on the coronavirus (vs flu and all the death numbers to every other way you can die) but this is an unprecedented situation

Since we're doing exacts, Trump exactly stated Biden and Burisma should be looked into for exactly what Democrats accuse him of. And being the exact constitutionally-bound person to see laws are faithfully executed, can request the investigation - or cessation of investigation - of any person.

Being a candidate for an office doesn't exactly immunize one to lawful scrutiny, as we learned with candidate, nominee, and president Trump.
