What you show is not good, but I shudder to think what else is in there. Drips and drabs from Twitter., in what is probably 1,000 page bill. This is pathetic.

While the rubber band on the mask is certainly better than no mask at all, in an infectious medical environment those N-95 masks should be fit to the individual and rotted straps may severely hinder that safety requirement.

The masks are made to conform to an Individuals' face. You simply crimp the metal strip above the nose to fit snugly. So, remove the rotted straps and glue/staple a replacement strap of whatever material is available. (I have a few of these masks and have had to repair the straps myself, I know plenty about the N95 masks.) Naturally you sanitize the entire mask before use, and by sanitizing over and again one mask can last a while. Too much common sense for the masses? Yep.
