Will update if that changes.

We’ve got a jacked up situation in the Senate. McConnell is the majority leader but basically has no mandate because 5 Senators can’t get to the Capitol to vote. Schumer/Pelosi can hold the world hostage and everybody knows something has to happen fast. I can hear the pigs from both sides running to the biggest trough in the history of the world.

Certainly. You didn't think our politicians would change, did you?

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

They will all be thumping their chests too, declaring how they "saved America" by giving that can a big old swift kick down the road. The road to nowhere.

The stimulus bill is coming. Neither party wants to be held responsible for an unemployment rate above 20 percent, so it's definitely coming.

Forget journalists. Fauci himself was downplaying it and of course the media is doing their best to try and get him to slam Trump. It’s pathetic that the media can’t be a positive force and just report the news right now without trying to turn every word and every action into a Trump hit job. They’ve done it for so long though that I don’t know if they know how to do anything else anymore. What will they report on when Trump leaves office in 4 and a half years?

Here’s what I don’t get about this story...

Not sure I buy the premise that we knew about the issue 27 cases in, but somehow we’d have known sooner if a certain position was filled?

I doubt there were only 27 cases the Chinese knew about and I seriously doubt they were willing to share with anybody.
Why would you think that? It's not like they created the virus and tried to cover up some accident. China seems to be a hot spot for outbreaks and having someone working with them is not a bad thing

It meets the definition: An airborne disease is any disease that is caused by pathogens that can be transmitted through the air by both small, dry particles, and as larger liquid droplets.

WHO is adjusting guidance based on reports about the aerosol nature of the virus and there’s also the following report.
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.10...tm_campaign=newsletter_axiosvitals&stream=top
By that strictest definition and the report you attached that uses the word plausible it is possible to maybe squeeze it in but the WHO says it can’t be spread through the air and even the CDC says basically someone would have to sneeze or cough on you. Think about it, if this could live in the air then this thing would spread way more quickly. Walmart, grocery stores, none of it would be safe.
